Str AA?

I was just curious if any one has tried a full str AA spec fury, I mean i like the idea of giving a priest a reason to get in there and go nuts.  I think it really fits the idea of a fury (btw Fury translated for me is a really pis**d off druid).

I have 8488 down the STR path currantly, that's 16% chance to prtoc a group heal for 435 40% chance of double attack and a melee attack that does damage and procs 26% haste (at lvl 4)Advantages:- group heal is power free, and procs pretty regually... really useful in soloing or instances where you can melee.- The Melee sword attack procs haste which is really useful for 'klick starting' your other procd... quite often using this attack procs the agitage dps/haste buff which in turn raises you haste to 91% (AGITAGE ad3 + fbss), and dps to 50%.. quite handy.- Double attack is nice have 2/5 of your attacks do bascially damage x 2 is also good for soloing- the pure str side of it is nice... +64 str... I've seen furys in T7 with less strength than this and you can get it as a bonus.- A good 2H weapon and 40% double attack you can time it to cast your quick spells (up to 1.5s) between the swings and still dish out the painDisadvantages:- Group is a direct heal, and once it goes off there is nothing to show for it. if everyone was at 100% health it won'y do anything. a lot of your procs are wasted.- Using a fast weapon and meleeing is bad.1.2 weapon speed at 100% haste is 0.6s per swing... cast bloodflow (regen) at 1.5s and you basacially 'lost' 2 swings.... cast group regen or starburst and you've lost 3s or 5 swings of the sword. You need a slower weapon in order to compensate for this.- We can't use any 2H swords so using this line to the best of itds potential is lost to us... only 2H sword we CAN use (Pride's Edge) counts as a staff as far as our AA choices are conerned, so you are stuck with a 1H sword taking the decreased damage or loosing out on the haste attack. (which as explained above is a gfood way to kick start your procs)- +64 strength becmes less and less of an asset like all the stats based advantages as you level up.On the whole I like the line, I'm taking STR 8488 STA 4438 actually for heal crits and group heal proc.. the group heal proc helping more in instances and soloing and the heal crits for raids.

Small correction prides edge isnt considered a staff by aa choices at least you can't cast the starter aa with it equipped.

Ahhh, I was told it counted as staff - never had it myself so can't comment unfort Even worse... thought at least you could get 3.9% heal crits out of it.

You can switch to a staff cast aa starter and then equip prides edge again its a bit of a hassle cause you have to redo it everytime you zone (tho the buffs stay up when you zone the effect changes to the item you have equipped in prides edge case the item isnt any of the needed weapons so i wouldnt be surprised that it would do nothing after zoning).

Tested this out with my drac accord blade equip that one cast our aa starter then equip your prides edge and it procs tiger bites (just like with equipping a staff when casting your aa starter and  switching back to your godking weap for heal crits).

bah... wish I had it to see if it works with the haste atatck fropm what you hgave said though I doubt it does.

It doesnt work when you click the haste aa in the str line it says that you dont have the right weapon equipped, so you can link a 1h sword in your hotbar click it equipping it hit the haste ca and then click the prides edge link in your hotbar it isnt as smooth but it works and yeah they should make it so that this sword counts as a sword too.

Know a fury on Nagafen who swears by it. Says he juices people with melee alone. Donno how accurate that is. I went down the line a ways, it made solo'ing nice, but useless in group pvp imo.

then you can aswell use a staff or a hammer for same result exept maby you can use that aa as the second line =)
