Is there an app 4 or adept upgrade for Porcupine? or is it not upgrade-able? If it is, my server is sadly short of them, I've been looking on the broker for a week, and nothing, which makes me think maybe it doesn't exist.

Thanks SMILEY

Yeah the problem (from what I've seen) is that everyone finally realized the spell is more than a level 50 fluff spell finally and they're buying them all on sight.  SMILEY

Porcupine is a very good spell, its just when you first get it and see it it looks crap. Its not till you get it app4 to master level it starts to work very well. I use it as a life saver If lots of mobs are on MT, you can get him to full health, slap a regen on, and right away use Porc, it give alot of mitigation, meaning the tank takes alot less damage and gives you a break to get the situation under control.  Of course you are stunned and it works best if you have 2ns healer

I got the Adept 1 orginally from Acts of War in Splitpaw.  Worth it to upgrade to Adept 3 though as soon as you can.

Heheheeh, not helping man.  SMILEY Porcupine *was* crap, before the revamp I'd say 95% of Furies agreed on that.  Now though, the real win is the mitigation bonus, at adept III it's like a 1400 increase to mitigation, that's a good amount of damage the tank won't take.  I'd say in normal situations just healing the tank is probably the way to go, and nuking / debuffing as needed, but some situations can definitely be much better w/ porcupine.  Those are basically when you're dealing with a mob that's capable of one or two shotting your main tank - having lots of healers won't necessarily help much if the tank goes from 100% to dead in like two quick hits - however losing one healer to increase the tank's mitigation by that much could very well slow the damage down enough for the rest of the healers to keep him (or her) up.  Voila.

The mitigation is what makes this spell very useful, but the damage potential is also very nice (150ishx25 = 3750 damage).

Post revamp this spell is great.  I use it all the time when soloing linked mobs and often when grouped, depending on the situation and group make up.  It's well worth the ruby to adept III this spell.

I use porcupine solo quite a bit when fighting groups of mobs.  Pull with starfire, regen myself, and slap on porcupine and watch the group die try'n to beat on me SMILEY.

Gonna suck when they change our regen to 10seconds, not going to be able to do this anymore SMILEY.

This spell does 160 damage a hit for me at adept 3, when my Intell. is at 230ish. If I forget to buff 14 intell. from my ring it drops to 159 hehe.

I agree this spell is awesome for a group for whoever is taking the hits.

For solo, I'm only lvl 52 and am having some troubles staying alive, decent health long enough for all the hits to be used up. Yes I use both our fury HoTs (we only have 2, 1 group, one single and then the feral pulse, 15 min emergency heal, hot) yes, I have gone very heavy on the hit points stats with my fury..I now have 3300 self buffed HPs. Soe changing our lion form to stamina stat added a lot to me. SMILEY

I don't have any troubles staying alive if the encounter is low green or blue but then the monsters have troubles hitting me and a lot of times the spell runs duration...won't get used up because the poor mobs miss, miss, miss.

There have been a LOT of changes(nurfs) to fury damageshields and all our spells. I did take screen shots of every one of our spells when I was lvl 50 before the combat revamp. Now after the revamp, just to discuss damage shields...the way they deal damage now is by the mob hitting with melee damage ONLY. If the mobs nuking you or your ds damages the mob there is no damage caused by the above spell. So many fury spells were reduced so to fit furys into the bottom of the pack, bottem of moorguards dps list. Wisely the developers left alone the 50-60 spells, so high lvls wouldn't notice or care. I bet money the 50-60 spells get the nurfing when they add 60-70 lvl SMILEY

Well no time to discuss how the above spell needs adjustment so it works better with the reduced healing most all healing classes still have pre-52. wish I had the time to post each spell and complain a lot more. Prolly for the best I don't and of course it's just a game these days SMILEY
