Anyone know what the casting time is on test now?  Five second casting time always made it pretty useless other then for making traveling easier.  I'm psyched about this change.

This could swing the balance for me to play a warden in pvp if their casting time on evac = scouts

Muchly agree....YAY..I'm glad to see this change.   Evac should be evac..IMO...no matter who gets it.  They should all be the same SMILEY   Now...if we can just get the Master 1 Verdurous Journey to take us on an all expense paid cruise of the Carribean.......................

Having scribed the M1 of this spell for giggles when it dropped in RE for an alt, I for one am hoping for the carribean holiday!

I'm still a noob, but back when I was REALLY a noob...I used an opal to upgrade this spell to Adept 3!!!!!  (and have not heard the end of it from Clint Eastwoods ever since..)    I SWEAR it casts faster, but he just laughs at me. ......

Yo...it's 5 seconds.  I think scout's is 3..and can't be interrupted?  (not sure though).

I looted a Verderous M1 today.  can't for the life of me figure out why it exists.  Either gonna vendor trash it or give it a to a warden friend for grins.

Or should I hang on to it for a while and try to sell it anyway?

Only people like me would buy it.....SMILEY   but there's always ONE on every server (I should know..)....you might get lucky.     I think it would be both awesome and humorous to give it to your Warden friend.    That's one of those 'it's the thought that counts' kind of gifts  LOL.

Anyone logged on that can tell us what the cast time is now? I'm assuming 3seconds in line with the scouts, but just curious. I can always find out later tonight. SMILEY

It is down to 3 seconds however it is still a spell and can not be cast while moving unlike the scouts evac which is an "ability" and can be cast on the run.

This is still a very welcome fix to our evac line and may save countless lives :smileywink:

Mayyyyyybe.  You still can't cast it running, and you can be pretty easily interrupted.  Unless they changed that since last night  :/

We'll I of course had to try it out last night. The only class that seems to always have a slight advantage to me is those pesky brigands with al their interupts/stuns. I've always been able to get in a few of my main regens (casting time 3s) so the change to 3s on verdurous journey makes it A LOT easier to evac out instead of taking the beating. A 5s casting time was too long for a brigand to not stun/interrupt me lol.

I love the new 3sec casting time! It was always the last 2secs that got us in trouble, imo hehe SMILEY

I don't really feel that there's a change in the casting time, I still got interrupted when I tried to cast it to save my butt =p Would rather the reuse timer be shortened, hehe I wish!

I also got the M1 of it for kicks, they used to have master drops for sylvan touch, but it didn't heal for more, and they completely took it out at some point.  I also found a master of nerid's boon, was considering buying it just to have it, hehe.

Why not make the master 1 version of the spell better by decreasing the recast time, ie a master 1 can be recast every 10 minutes instead of every 15?

I most definitely agree...although instead of casting time, I think spell upgrades to this (which I..ahem..have one of)...should be casting DISTANCE.    In this way you don't evac and leave your poor mage standing there looking at the big giant angry monster...with you guys all safely at the evac point  SMILEY

I have, in the past, advocated that Verdurous Journey M1 should not only evac YOU...but EVERYBODY in the Zone..and maybe even people on the Najena server in that zone, as well.   And also take several nodes with you...so that using M1 evac gives you a chance at a rare.

Devs? How bout it??

I really think that if they are trying to make our evac like scouts, that we should be able to cast it while running.  It would seem most useful in that sense too as you would probably want to evac in a fight because you're wiping and if you stand there, you'll get hit and interrupted, whereas you can run away, or run towards other group members to catch them in your evac.

The upgraded versions of evac/coq/etc used to reduce timers, I had an app2 of COQ and it would refresh faster than the app1 you got when you started your character.  I also had an adept1 of escape for my troubador and it reduced the reuse timer to 8 minutes, hehe.

I can confirm without a shadow of doubt that our evac at master 1 does not (contrary to popular belief) take you to the bahamas.  This tragic news was confirmed in a recent Fox news broadcast causing global mourning and gnashing of teeth of biblical proportions.

Aye SMILEY     Too bad they fixed Master 1 Sylph, too..SMILEY  I went a lot of cool places with that.  Backstage in the Drafling, 500 feet about Everfrost, the bomb shelter in RoV.../sigh..those were the days.

I'm 4 levels away from getting it.  I guess I no longer have to think about paying the 35gp somebody wants to sell the M1 for it on my server.  So I save money, but no Bahamas trip.  :smileysad:
