![]() Just wondering who should we throw this spell on ? Please keep the order in dps classes (zerker, ranger, monk, etc.) I was testing this out to see which dps class will give us more mana/power for this spell... ty Message Edited by Listad12 on 02-24-200606:07 AM |

It all depends on how the target is configured. A Berzerker with a shield isn't much better then a Paladin for this.In general I pick my targets in this order:AssassinRanger (havn't tried with the new proc change yet)Berzerker (if it's dual wielding)BruiserMonkother scoutsother fightersBasicly what I look for is a fast, dual wielding target, if I see that my power is not generating enough I try a different target.I try to avoid putting this on the MT since in raids the MT doesn't always attack to avoid barrages and such, sometimes I don't have a choice.Being flexible is the path to success.

The proc rates for this seem to work just like every other proc rates. As acknowledged by the latest nerf, slower weapons proc more. The theory is pretty simple. The proc rate listed is based off of a 3.0 second delay (search around, this is all acknowledged by the devs, I make it my business to know because I'm a weaponsmith also). So if you use a 1.5 second delay on a 5% proc spell, you have a 2.5% chance to proc. Do it in reverse for a VERY slow weapon, say a Long Bow.My preference order is Rangers, then crusader classes (a lot of them tend to use big 2H'ers), then brawlers (again that big 2H thing). If none of that is available, I just shoot for the slowest weapon. The most important thing here is to have a templar in your group with you. When the Templar runs out of mana, you step in and take over and barely have your mana touched. Then explain carefully, patiently, and in tiny little words that templars can understand how ineffecient and nerfed they are and how you feel so bad for them and perhaps they should take all the melee AA abilities so maybe they can be useful someday. Bonus Inqi points if you can make them cry in the process.Cheers!Sohr61 Inqi60 WeaponsmithOfficer, InfinityOasis Server

![]() From LU #20: "- Combat arts will no longer be more likely to trigger a proc if you are using a slow delay weapon. These weapons will still retain a slightly greater chance of triggering a proc on auto-attack, but combat arts will no longer proc more or less often based on the delay of a weapon."
What the above poster stated is no longer true as of LU20 when it comes to combat arts. It's a huge nerf to rangers, who have most of their CA's on long recast timers. It's actually a benefit to other scouts though it seems. Grouping with a swash lateley, he was triggering inquest at least twice as often as he was prior to the update, because they have a lot of very quick CA's that can be more or less chained. Classes who can chain CA's constantly will be the best for procs now it seems, nameley rogues, though there's still a bit more testing to be done.

Read your own post again. The delay of a weapon will no longer affect proc rates on COMBAT ARTS, but will still be slightly more likely to proc on autoattacks. The data remains true, a longer delay weapon will still be more likely to proc on auto attack, but is now more even on Combat Art attacks using that same weapon vs. a shorter delay weapon.

That seems to be a gray area... It's a combat art spell that procs on an auto attack... Not sure which way to read that....

![]() I noticed that a dirge was setting off procs about 2x as often as the ranger of the same lvl for 4 hours of straight grinding last night. I was a die hard ranger/monk person for that buff, but will now have to try it on the DW scouts.

![]() Since LU 20 I have been trying to figure out who this spell works best on as well. So far I would say Swashy, assasain, dirge, bruiser/monk, then the other scouts and fighters. Since the update I haven't been able to group with very many rangers so i can't say if they are as good as they used to be or not for this spell.
