![]() both of them will do...
i am 47 now and i have never heard or experienced that a templar got chosen instead o an inquisitor... or the other way around they are diffrent but for leveling up both do an excellent job.
inquisitor +++ : imo inquisitros are the better choice when you play in a 2 - 4 person group when duoing they have the advantage of a decent damage output and strong debuffs to suppot taking down the mob... tank - inqui duo is very effective also inquisitor is quite good at soloing (imo)
Templars +++ : they got better group cures and group heals ..also the single target heals are better it has often been said that in the endgame(high lvl mob raids) a templar is the better choice because of that. their offensive is not quite as good but they got more protective nature with better grp and hp buffs
i think these are the key diffrences of the two classes... however.. both will get you to 50 easily ..you will always be welcomed in a group no matter which one you choose... all teh way to 50 and in raid situations as well. ( never go without enough healers
as for your question: i take the person that is more fun to play with

Just to clarify this one, they get better group cures, and better group reactives. All our direct heals are more or less the same. Examples:Intolerant Healing (Master I): heals 1126 for 246Greater Restoration (Master I): heals 1126 for 246Adept III versions are 955 vs. 954 for about the same powerScolding Alleviation Adept III and Words of Restoration Adept III are 711 vs. 712, where ours is actually 22 power cheaper. Theirs is 3 seconds shorter cast though...Faithful Ministration and Greater Amelioration are both 569 for 244 power. So little to no difference on the direct heals. Also, our single target reactives are better than theirs (bigger and more mana efficient), so I feel the main differences are the group cures, the fact that we rely more on single target reactives while they are better off with group versions, and whether or not you like to be offensive, us, or defensive, templar. Otherwise I agree with jash23, you'll be a much more wanted and a better player if you enjoy your class, and I must say I _really_ enjoy inquisitor! :smileytongue:

Given that everything is subject to change when the balance comes out (whenever that is), I would definately agree that your brother should play the class he thinks he would find the most enjoyment in rather than trying to pick the best class. Personally, I think Inquisitor rocks...of course it could be said that I am a little biased. :smileywink:

![]() You can't really say that a templar or an inquisitor are better healers, because theyre actually on par with each other. Templars have a slight advantage in sheer healing over inquisitor thanks to their level 50 channeled reactive, Focused Benefaction that inquisitors make up thru their debuffs and various means of crowd control. That being said, another thing to keep is mind is that templars are almost always in the top 2-3 most popular classes on ever server. In fact, Guk server has over one thousand templars, while there are only half that many inquisitors.

![]() That is because 500 inquisitors are more than enough to equal 1000 templars? ![]() |

![]() I have found, on mistmoore at least, that I dont get as many group invites if I /ooc x level Inquisitor LFG than if I use /ooc x level Healer LFG... It seems to me, especially at the lower levels (i.e. below 32ish) that many qeynosians dont know that an inquisitor is a healer... so you have to make allowances for that. |

Geez. Are those Qeynosians a tad on the "slow" side or something?

![]() you got the point. if you go for templar then due to the current balancy errors, you have the upper hand in healing by a good ammount, ours is enough though..
and if you go for qeynos, you definately loose brainpower. |
