![]() I heard rumors that we'd eventually be able to betray at any level... does anyone know if this has been implemented yet? And if so - is conjuror more fun than necro? I love my necro, but wouldn't mnd havin a little more fast (nuking) DPS as opposed to the gradual, DoT-based stuff.

No, it is not possible yet. You will know when it's possible when it's in a Live Update patch note.As for which is more fun...well, Conjurors and Necromancers are remarkably similar. It's just that Conjurors are a different flavor than Necromancers. So it's a question of whether you say tomato or tomatoe, whether you like vanilla or chocolate ice cream, whether you like mayo on your fries or not, etc etc.I personally enjoy both classes, though I'm more biased towards my Conjuror, since I rolled her first.

i rolled a high elf conj to betray for my new necro (im on lucan dlere, and RPing an iksar the way i want to is too hard...), and i must say at the lower lvls, i preferred the necro BY FAR. the stupid beetle pet is like paper, cant even take a mob 1 lvl above me without going down to 15% or even dying...i cant wait till i can be a necro again with him.

Lamprey at the early stage the damage output isn't to much for either class. However when you start to get your temperary pets necro are the rats and ghast and the Conjurer is the sharks and fire element. With those and the different pets both classes get: mage, scout, and fighter the damage becomes almost as good as nuking. We can also take mob that are 4 lvls about you and they can be a one arrow up. So that potential is great.I play both classes and love them evenly. Both are awesome for soloing or raid...

![]() So what I'm feeling, then, is just a case of the grass being greener on the other side? A conjurer and a necro will both drop a mob they're soloing at about the same clip?

![]() Pretty much, yeah. There isn't much a Conjuror can do that a Necromancer can't also do, and vice versa. |

![]() The only significant difference between necro and conj is their dmg types (noxies/disease vs heat/cold) and the fact that conjs are better at AoE dmg whilst necros are better at taking down single targets... its not much of a difference, just requires a slightly different play style... i for one am betraying my conjuror back to a necro again as soon as this change goes live... i like the fact that necros have slightly more utility than conjs (FD and rez besides power regen items) and also the charm undead spell... its really only aesthetic reasons behind my change which really emphasizes how little difference there is...

I'd rethink that. When you betray, you lose all of your spell upgrades you acquired; they get reset to Apprentice I when you finish the betrayal. Besides, I'm not sure you can betray twice, even when the new betrayal system goes Live.
