I'm wondering how you guys go about levelling your Conjurers. Do you use the questing system or the old traditional method of camping spots that are good for your levelling and just grinding your XP out. I suspect it's the latter. If it is, are there any good web resources that suggest good hunting spots? TIA.

Well, if you are leveling the good old fashioned honest way, then:1-12 : solo in noob areas12-16 : Blackburrow16-22: Stormhold22-28ish : Fallen Gate28-40 : RunnyeyeAfter this I forget the levels of the zones, but you wanna hit Cazic Thule in Feerrot in mid 40s, then when you are in your 50s, go to Sinking Sands and go to Living Tombs. In your mid to late 50s, go to PoF for Giants and Clops until 60ish. Then60-64 : Sanctum of Scaleborn64-70 : Palace of AwakenedDo it all grouped. Really, the xp is much better if you have the time to get a solid group and grind for several hours a day. If you are soloing, just solo in the over land zones that correspond to each of the dungeons that I mentioned at the same level, you should be ok.

You can actually hit CT at L40.  The mobs in the area right around the steps are really good XP at that level.  You can do 40-50 in CT quite easily, and there is some really good loot to be had there.  Do your best to pick up a Tae Ew Prophet Robe.  You'll be glad you did.

I found that the obelisk of lost souls was a great place to run around in from lvl's 36 -48/50.  Good xp, and great drops too.

Just one quibble

Why does everyone think Stormhold is so low-level? When I send tells to people LFG half the time they respond, no that zone's not high enough for them.  The entry hall may be 16-22 but the mobs on the second floor go up to 25 or so and the ones on the next floor are higher still and there is a forth floor as well. Some of the fastest xp I've gotten was in the Tomb of Valor instance in Stormhold, upper 20s mobs with a 29-30 boss. We were pulling dark blue (to us) triple-ups 2,3,4 at a time and unless you close all the coffins they will just keep spawning as long as you want them too. I like Stormhold and unless you want to go to Fallen Gate just for the variety there is no need to leave Stormhold til you are ready for Ruins of Varsoon.

Lol I was just giving the fastest run through of levels. I know that the levels get high inside deeper, but I just don't usually advise staying there taht long. But yes, you can justifiably hit 30 in SH easily.

I like Varsoon better than just about anything in the 28-33 range myself.  It seems to prepare you better for Runnyeye.

I level by doing quests mostly. I tend to solo a lot so many of my 62 levels have been done via quests. I think I have nearly 500 or so done. When I group, it's most often with a group that is attempting to complete a quest. I can count on one hand the number of times I've grouped up, or solo'd, strictly to camp mobs for xp. I just don't enjoy playing that way. Of course, that could also explain why I am only level 62 after playing since launch. SMILEY

Thanks for the feedback guys. I spent most of today 'touring' around Antonica with a heap of quests in my journals, just solo. I just wandered around and killed random mobs as I passed them. I finished a lot of my quests by doing this and had a lot of fun at the same time. A bit later I grouped with some similar level characters and we adventured around Stormhold Keep for a while. I think we killed one named and the rest just wiped the floor with us. All great fun though.Looking forward to roaming some more to see what I can happen upon.

Wow, I can not sit and grind a toon for hours on end; I get so bored.  I make it a point to never enter a dungeon type zone unless I have a purpose of being there.  Questing makes this game fun for me, and the grind is what turned me away from EQ1.

I'm a quester.  I spend about 95% of my playtime doing that.  It gives a sense of purpose to the game for me and holds my interest, whereas sitting in one spot grinding the same mobs would bore me rather quickly.  It allows me to experience ALL the content in the game, which is more important to me than just getting to max lvl ASAP and being bored after that.  By doing quests, I still get to hit those sweet XP zones and kill heroics/names for good exp and loot whenever my quests take me there.  The only problem I sometimes have is that I actually lvl too quickly and end up doing green quests most of the time.  I'm hoping once my journal is relatively clear and I'm more or less caught up that I can get to them when they're still blue.

I can grind solo for hours .. but i don't like grinding in dungeons with random groups .. so normally i go into dungeons with guild groups for quest or level solo.  Think the reason is, in a dungeon you have mostly no breaks .. solo you can just say now i just harvests some stone or make 5 minutes break for what reason ever .. or now i do next step in one quest .. SMILEY

So how i normally level :

1-7 Isle of refugee

8-15 take all quest in Qeynos or Freeport and make first mostly the runquest or whatever is easy

15-20 Chainquest in Antonica / Commonlands and a little bit just grinding.

20-25 Chainquests and Killtasks in TS / Nek Forest .. grinding Solomobs in TS

25-29 A lot of grind mostly at the skelletons before varsoon .. or maybe splitpaw.

30-35 Chainquests in EL / Zek

35-40 Quests in Feerott, Rivervale .. grind on the bears/beetles/wasps in EL that are in groups of two with one downgrade SMILEY

40-45 Hard time .. not much quests .. mostly grind doing CTs in Everfrost or grinding in Splitpaw Upper Tunnels.

45-55 A lot of quests in SiSa and Maj .. specially doing Faction quests for all 3 Courts over and over gives good Exp.

55-60 Ashen Order quest and Amulet of Swords of Ro in Pillars

60+ Basket quests and Froglok quests in TT .. Chainquests in Barren Sky ..

After that solo there is not really so much content .. so you have to make claymore quests with groups .. or a lot of grind.
