This is actually not a bad thing, in my opinion. (Sorry, I'm sure you'll miss your friends)But, this should reduce the number of conjurers/necros in the world. THAT is a good thing.

true that. everyone and there sisters uncles cousin is a pet class. Maby they'll all cancell and my conjurer will be singular like way back when they first came out. Man I would give anything to have my old tank pet back that could tank a ts named and have some adds on it and by god it just kept on going with his self heal overtime buff lol.

it might be good if there will be less pet-class players, but if that means the pet classes will suck, which will be needed for people to stop playing them, then eventually only the diehearts will play it, and regarding the fact that they will be crap, may this happen, groups won't like to have ya allong and every1 will stop playing pet classes, i think the nerfs are way-way-way too hard, it's good that SOE wants to balance us, and i admit we are overpowered none the less

regardless of that, i think your friends are a bit push-overs if they will leave everquest because 1 subclass gets nerfed, i am sure they have very good reasens, and this may be just the last reasen they needed to stop playing, because they might have been balancing between leaving or staying, but if it is because of the nerf, they don't belong in an MMORPG, because you know it can happen.

I have been reading on the Summoners board that the changes really aren't as bad as they appear damage wise.. I will give them a fair shake as I did for LU 13.. You may be suprised..

i'm not worried at all, i'll adapt find new tactics, find new ways to work with my guildies on groups and raids.

I find it funny that people would quit before that changes even happen.

Because we all know we are overpowered as is and can do what most others can't so its about time we were reduced in power a tad, i've enjoyed the riegn of power and now i'm gonna cope.

I play both a 70 ranger and 70 conjuror.  And I don't think the changes they're making to conjurors are close to being as bad as what they did to my poor ranger.  Overall raid dps is going to go down some but I don't think it'll be huge.  For groups I doubt there will be much difference at all.  And for solo play it will just take a bit more effort.

For raiding I see my conjuror becoming more dependant on other classes for group buffs.  Get a good group with high Int buffs and our mage pet will still do great damage.  And swarm pets will need to be timed with care so they are wasted against a mobs AE.  The changes will difinitely hurt but they aren't class killers like what they've done and keep adding to my poor ranger.
