Hey Folks,

As one of probably many Conjurors who selected Aggravate as their Master 2 upgrade,  I was wondering how it stacks up stat-wise with the level 67 Exasperate at the Adept 3 level.

Has anyone compared stats or done any analysis on this?

Appreciate any feedback!

Not in game so I can't post Aggravate (Master II) stats, but you can use this to compare.

It looks like it's actually worse... I know that the attack speed boost from Aggravate was 51%, and this one actually lowers defense and such more than Aggravate.  Oh well, saves us a moonstone at least!

I made the mistake of upgrading Exasperate to adept III.The INT is 13 points better. The defense decreases are harsher. The haste buff is less. The melee/casting buffs are slightly better. All in all not worth what I paid.

Aggravate Master II
Increases INT of target by 171Increases Attack Speed of target by 51%Decreases Defense and Parry of target by 24Increases Slashing, Piercing and Crushing of target by 26
Exasperate Master I (which I can't scribe yet)

Increases INT of target by 210Increases Attack Speed of target by 56%Decreases Defense and Parry of target by 30Increases Slashing, Piercing and Crushing of target by 32

Strangely enough, I actually have 2 Master Is of this, so I'm not sure if it is common or I am lucky.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see the way the penalties on our pet stances scale as being a little whacked?

For the defensive stance, as we get upgrades the % DPS decrease gets bigger meaning the pet will do less and DPS as we upgrade the spell.  For the offensive stance, the penalty to defense keeps getting bigger as we upgrade.  As the lvl cap continues to raise and we continue to go through the tiers and get our upgrades to these lines of spells, eventually the DPS of the pet when in defensive will be zero and ditto the defense of the pet when in offensive stance.

I realize that there has to be something to balance the increase in the other stats, but those can keep increasing to infinity as the game scales up.  For the stats that decrease though (DPS and defense), there has to be some kind of lower limit doesn't there?  I mean it can only go so far, our pets can't have negative DPS....can they?  :smileyindifferent:

Anyway, thx for the heads up...I guess I'll be using the Master II Aggravate for a while now :smileywink:

Thanks for all the input!  I think that unless I can acquire a Master 1 for Exasperate, I think I will stick with Aggravate!

Good stuff... and thanks!

A way around those penalties is to go the wisdom aa line and not have to concern yourself as much with the said penalties in each offensive and defensive stances. Adept IV of the minions uproar provides 37 to slash crush and pierce as well as 42 to disruption and focus. At app IV the defensive buff gives 6.9 to defense and I'm sure it is far beyond that at Adept IV. If you don't want to sacrifice the AA's to do it then don't complain lol. The option is always there but it's a choice you'll have to make.
