I took Gimble's Shocking Burst at 10 and have loved it.  In fact, after taking Ganla's Whipping Wind at 20, I have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed.  Gimble's is blue to me and Ganla's is orange, yet I'm able to defeat foes more quickly by spamming Gimble's than by spamming Ganla's or a mix of the two. I see recommendations on the boards to take Ganla's so I suppose I'm missing something.  Will I soon outlevel Gimble's?

ganla's = highest nuke you will EVER have. that's why most people take it. i know it's not on my spell bar anymore because i only use nukes for HOs and gimbles is a lot better at that

Gimble's is nice because it has an incredibly fast cast time which makes it great for HOs.  I couldn't pass up Camtur's Aura for it though.

Im on my second conjurer now; both times I've chosen Gimbles at 10 and am convinced it's the way to go. But my first alt I took Ganlas at 20 and well, it sucked. Cast time was long and damage was mediocre. I was so excited to get it, after being so impressed by Gimble and then was immediately dissapointed when I went out and used it. I dropped it from my hotbar and just kept Gimble, even thought it was greyed out.

In rare circumstances, Ganla will come in handy. But it's dissapointing as hell in comparison  to Gimble.

I can't recommend Gimble over Camtur's Energizing Aura.

I use both Gimble's and Ganla's at level 45. In fact, those two spells run almost every HO I do.

Arcane Augur -> Gimble's Shocking Burst -> Ganla's Whipping Wind -> 2 DoT spells -> now Augur is back up again

A lot of folks forget that Ganla's also has a DoT component that stacks with every other DoT you have... so you've got a bit of extra damage in there as well. Gimble's is my HO baby, though... with the 1-sec cast time, you can finish off an HO even if the timer on the wheel is already gone. Due to our severe lack of "Lightning Bolt" spells, having Ganla's up and ready is invaluable if Gimble's is resisted.
