![]() I'd have to say that we are pretty gimped for pvp the stuns that allow us to stack a couple energy drain and dot spells simply don't work in pvp, and if they do actually hit they wear off in about a second. they only act as interupts. the energy drain we use is not fast enough, other classes damage output simply blows us away before there is any appreciable energy drain and our damage is meager of course our root casts quickly but it's just like the stun and mez, it only lasts about a second at best and behaves like an interupt it's pretty bad any advice? (other than play another class)

I'm no expert but it seems to me we work best in a group.Always have a pet with you. Last night I was attacked and killed. The pet I had charmed attacked my killer and allowed my lower level group mates to finish him off. I came back and reclaimed my chest.

![]() Yea i'm agreeing we are gimped in pvp. I've been doing a fair amount of group pvp and i really feel worthless. I land about 20% of my spells and they of course wear off almost instantly. The problem of course is that our spells are typically all or nothing, usually being nothing. And of course we have 2 stuns, 2 mezzes, 2 roots...yet due to the immunity effect our spell aresenal is really half of that. Unless they let crowd control apply to pvp, which will probably never happen, coercers just aren't much use in pvp. I think the best thing we got is to use a charmed pet which will typically aggro on whoever kills you, which is pretty weak. PvP is geared completely towards who can front load the most damage, which really takes the strategy out. If they were to allow use to mez/root/stun i think battles could be much more interesting. Sure it sucks to be mezzed for 30 seconds, but it also sucks to die in 3 hits because you are wearing cloth and can't defend yourself. It's time to re-evaluate our class for pvp. 29 Coercer |

![]() The reactives own in pvp.
I wouldn't say Coercers are [Removed for Content] at all. As one fo the few classes that can root, I feel that we are one of the most deadly. |

![]() Greetings! The reactives are very good in PvP. Yes you can charm an NPC and use it against the Qeynosians (there is an excellent list of creature candidates in this forum). Charm works on the Qeynosians but is extremely short lived (a few seconds) unless they are far weaker than you (I held a gray Qeynosian who attacked me for about 10 seconds). I use it as an extra (short duration) mesmorisation spell when fighting PvP. I have noticed that if you take care to charm a pet in the relative vicinity that you are hunting, the Qeynosians sometimes assume that the creature just wandered up on them and don't always realize what is actually happening until it's too late. Respectfully, Lythian |
