INT, INT, INT and more INT.  Don't even bother with WIS.

For mages, INT is the stat that our power pool is based on.  That means, the more INT we have, the more power we have.  And the more power we have, of course, means the more spells we can cast before running out.

In addition, for ALL classes, INT affects spell damage.  That means the more INT we have, the more damage our spells do.  Try this to check - take off a few pieces of your equipment that have INT on them.  Right-click and examine your biggest nuke spell and note the maximum damage.  Now equip the items again, and examine the spell again.  You'll see the maximum damage has gone up!  The more INT you keep adding ... the more damage your spells will keep doing, and the more power you'll have to cast them with.  So you can't lose with INT, stack it on as much as you can!  Get some nice +INT hex dolls made for your charm slots, throw out any equipment that doesn't have INT on it if you can possibly find anything that does.

And did I mention, focus on INT?  SMILEY

Did Didi mention INT?  I think so.  However since INT is painfully clear I would also try and get some STA as well, but only if their is no int available for that slot at your level.  Having a good health pool will increase your survivability rate (when attacked) tremendously.  But never forget you are the glass cannon.-Acelia 61 Wizard of Nektulos

As said INT!! INT as mentioned already it affects the amount of damage your spells will do.

However, INT is more important for wizards and warlocks especially as there is a huge gap between the minimum and maximum damage your spells can do (more so than the other mages).

As such, you should also upgrade any buff spells that increase your INT to make sure you're reaching your highest damage output possible. (I'm not sure what your INT cap is, maybe someone can remind me - is it 7.5 x your level??.....).

Also as you advance in level, you may notice some spells actually do less damage than when you were the previous level. Unless you keep your INT up, in line with your level your spells should remain as doing good damage.

I've experimented and also found AGI quite useful as a secondary rather than WIS (whcih increases yr resistance to spells) to help dodge attacks that would otherwise kill me in a couple of hits through my tissue paper robe!! SMILEY

Definitely int...once you get that capped I'd probably say wisdom to resist some raid-mobs aoes...or stamina to have a bit more health to absorb the blows.  Pretty easy for us to get to 510 int or whatever the cap is when we have a +75 int/str buff at adept3.
