![]() I was doing aq2 with some friends the other night and i am a lvl 21 guardian human with around 900 hps and 1000 ac (working on these as i finish the aq's) We had myself a lvl 20 templar and lvl 21 conjurer. When going after grovlin named mob that conned white and ^^ i got wrecked...the templar couldnt keep me healed faster then i was getting killed. Templar has almost all apprentice 1 spells and mine are mostly apprentice 4. Conjurer has almost all apprent 4 and adept spells so the damage he deals out is good. Wondering which option this falls under 1. The three of us suck and need to increase our stats,eq,spells, skills 2. I suck as a tank and others are fine 3. Templar sucks and if he had better spells lvls i would have lived. We had it down to about 65-70% when i died. I had all the templar buffs and used mine, soldiers stance (apprentice 1), hunker down, rallying cry. we went back with 2 templars and we won, this time easily. both templars only had about 25% power but i was close to full health most of the time. Just wondering if 3 normal players (non tweaked) can/should take on named white ^^ mobs or do devs intend for us to find other people. |

![]() soldiers stance (apprentice 1)...... stop being lazy. No reason you should not have at least app2, on all your skills.

![]() I'm a 23 Guardian, 1350ac and tons of hp, and tanked Grolvan (sp?) last night for someone needing the quest item. You and your group don't suck - that mob is your typical example of a named being underconned. Blue with 2^^'s is fine on any normal mob, but a named means you have to take into consideration that he will be far superior in toughness. We had 6 people and I was being beat down slowly as the cleric and shaman weren't able to keep me healed well enough. Perhaps they weren't experienced enough. Either way, I was warded and healed throughout. He's a tough mob. Soldier's Stance (Adept 1), Toughness (Adept 1), and whatever the upgrade was to Call to Arms (Adept 1) I Hunker Down at 35% health to allow heals to catch up if hp is steadily decreasing. It behooves you to get app4, no less. Spend the money - you'll level faster with top gear/spells, and be more reliable. |

![]() yeah this mob is underconned, I helped kill him after he was gray to me and he got me below half, I started the fight thinking I could solo him, its a good thing the people that needed himf or a quest were doing some damage. Most of my skills are upgraded to Adept1 or App4 the day I ding. I have adept1s in the bank waiting for me to level and I have a cleric friedn who is an alchemist that levels up by making app4s on everyspell in the book.

Also 20 is a special level because of armor type changes. A level 20 mob is 5 times as hard as a level 19 mob ;p

I dont think its a problem of anybody sucking. Its just a matter that the mob was tough and your initial group was unprepared. In terms of your own confidence as a tank, I would say you're doing alright, being as you saw there was a problem and rectified the group configuration. WOW! BIG WORDS ON THAT ONE.
