Aggro management between tank classes, how come that still after 13-14 years this havent changed?
Some tank classes have it so much easier than others to hold and maintain solid aggro. After playing different kind of tanks with similar gear the last 10 years, I have seen both sides of this issue. Its a known fact, but still you keep it the way it started 14 years ago. I was really hoping for some change with PoP, and I hope its not too late to do something about it. |

Agreed Shiloh, tank aggro is a bit of an issue. If you don't have a good group or raid setup, aggro can be an issue. Yes some tank classes have an easier time of it, in the same way some tank classes do more dps, or have more snaps, or stone skins, or utility etc. It would be nice if the taunts actually helped more then they do. Ultimately whatever tank class you are playing, very high dpsers will inevitably rip aggro from you with a juicy hit.

guess u could add aggro management
healing utility .. all those stuff that didn't change and made some classes easier or better than others nothing has changed. especially since taunts don't even improve with potency nor fervor |

What I'm looking for when it comes to tanks isnt any big magic things...its easy coding and easy implementation.
Make taunts useful!! Geez, how come taunts arent affected by fervor? How come taunts are affected by potency up to 10k, then no more? How come taunts arent as important as other spells? Its the number one tank spell from before, that now only has a place on my hotbar because I could add some damage to them from dragon AA. Its sad really. ![]() |

Yeah that was nice but it didn't solve the problem. Tanks still rely heavily on DPS to succeed as tanks, which really defeats the purpose of being called a tank. That change only made it slightly easier for those of us who are already dpsing, not so much for those who don't/cant. The taunts even now in beta are hitting harder yes but DPS has gone up considerably. I think that need to re-examine all things that effect taunts and their base values in order to balance tanks out to be doing their job as intended.

I agree , if they made fervor apply to taunt it would help alot , even if the value was only half.

well technically fervor already applies. hate mod is fervor for taunts. So we only get 100. my post in fighter class forums talks a bit about a good change.

Aggro is not an issue on any fighter class. Some tanks rely on DPS more than others to hold aggro, if you are struggling on zerker, sk or bruiser, consider paly, guardian or monk. Please devs dont ruin the skill of tanking by making it easy mode.
How to hold aggro - Use ACT, look at your dps, aim for minimum 25% of the highest dps you are trying to hold aggro against. Prefer 50% - Reforge 100% hate mod - Ask dps to hold for a few seconds to allow you to establish hate - Learn your class - Have a better group setup Its that simple. There are hundreds of tanks having no issues, so before you point the finger at daybreak please use the guide above! |

Whats next? Lets double the duration of stone skins because tanking in raids is not easy enough. Look to the many people that make it a success and realise that the problem is not the game.
