When I tried to "Salvage" of the new itemss I got AoM resources

From the patch notes on the 18th:

Expansion items will now correctly salvage into their infuser component.

Unfortunately, the quest rewards I stored in my bags are still salvaging into ToT infusers, not the KA (skyfire) infusers, and I am still seeing ToT rares from some instead of Obulus rares.
I just got a pristine leathery hide from "Resilient Ny'Caelona Pants"
Is there a spot you'd rather we post this? Do you need us to track individual item names that are salvaging incorrectly?

Is salvaging the only source of KA rares?

There is a beyond rare harvest node that produces KA rares. I have only seen it up on tracking right after a patch so far, but I also heard that the rarity was still to be tweaked.

There will be a way to turn your gathering goblin into a gardening goblin that will give you an Obulus rare, but the quests are not in yet, and we don't know the frequency with which he will bring back one.

The items missing the classification for this should be all fixed by next beta update.

I'm still seeing the new stuff salvage into the ToT infuser fragments, not the KA "Skyfire" infuser fragments, though it has been several beta updates since your post.

An example would be the "Woodworked Glazed Shield" and "Ruthless Nye'Caelona Shoes", both of which just salvaged into "Salvaged Standard Infuser Fragment" instead of "Salvaged Standard Skyfire Infuser Fragment"

I'm still salvaging items from KA that are salvaging into ToT infuser fragments. I just killed Warslik and his Towershield of the Spectral Giant salvaged into Salvaged Heroic Infuser Fragment, which is last expansion's fragment, not this one. Frown

I have yet to salvage anything at all that salvages into the fragments needed for this expansion.
