Same issue once I got into the zone this morning .... I was 8/12. Got the key even from the Captain but couldn't progress will try again tomorrow fresh, unlocking the instance with the purchased item off the vendor. I put in a /bug report also in-game.
(lot's of Adept drops and Guild Status items dropped) just not enough of the misc. items needed to ding for the Signature quest. (guess I didn't get rid of my gremlins yet lol)

I didn't get any drops aside from the very rare quest update item drops. A few of the quest drops came from having to use my merc to pull mobs that were too high above me, too (and my char has extended range on her abilities).

I did the same thing with my Merc and/or Conj. pet... I pulled the ones up on those porches that we can't get to. Going to try again in a few minutes I logged on and re-set the instance, however had to log off and now having issues with the client and can't get back on - I put that feedback on another spot.

Shattered Seas: Pirates' Plot

Was finally able to get further after today's update. After returning to inform Elder Karrabukk about the news, the quest didn't give any pop-up text nor "dink!" noise, so it was not obvious that the quest had progressed again.

Yesterday I submitted a change that should help out with the quest updates in Pirates' Plot:
  • Shattered Seas: Pirates' Plot - A chest of booty now drops the evidence of the Far Seas Traders.
I also submitted the following fixes for other issues encountered within other Shattered Seas signature quests:
  • Ssraeshza Temple: Shadow of Luclin - Zone is now persistent.
  • Altar of Malice - Zone is now persistent.
  • Ssrez'Ras: Ruins of Stasis - Zone is now persistent.
  • Shattered Seas: Pirates' Plot - Brokenskull Bay is now spelled correctly.
  • Shattered Seas: Pirates' Plot - The Agent of Qeynos / Agent of Freeport no longer aggro and lock on other group members when initially spawned.
These changes should be on Beta sometime today. They'll be listed in the update notes at that time.

Just wanted to let you all know that Chrol has been working with the Shissar involved with the "Shattered Seas: Woken Scales" quest. The initial wave and secondary wave are getting some great attention!

After that, we'll be able to make the Shissar Codex spells perfect for defeating them.

A few more changes coming to Beta, pertaining to the Shattered Seas signature quest line:
  • Shattered Seas: Dark Forest of Legend - Tamm Gloryday should now show a quest offer icon.
  • Shattered Seas: Dark Threats on Dshinn - Quest now rewards "Anchor of Wanderer's Dock."
  • Shattered Seas: Temple of Doom - All 6 "Shissarian Codex" spells are now granted to the player in order to help defeat the Shissar attackers and close the Luclin portal.
I am not sure when these changes will be on beta, but they should be listed in the update notes at that time.

So I tried the Temple of doom with the 6 Shissarian Codex spells but he hit me for 557074 disease damage and I only have 500,878 health so it was insta-death every time. I am hoping for a decrease to the damage as I would like to finish this and get the mount before it goes live.

You should give "Shattered Seas: Temple of Doom" a try now that Beta was updated with the Shissar Codex buff and spell changes.

I tried it again just now and still one hit for 681084 disease damage when I only have 500,878 health so the patch has not helped me at all unfortunately. I am a level 100 beastlord in Spiritual Stance. I use shielding scales and the other shissar arts whenever they are available. I have perrin whiteheart the merc just healing and my dire boar pet. I also tried it with the pet not attacking and got killed doing it that way also.

I was using an instance I started earlier today. (see my previous post) Not sure if that would make a difference.

I had the quest armor and jewelry from the solo questline. Do you need the specific names of each piece? My beastlords name is Kedess by the way in case you can check directly.

I agree, still a little unbalanced. I keep dying the second Kenny dies - playing my Dirge - I am keeping Shielding Scales and Scaled Rejuvenation up at all times too. Frown

Well I did finish it, but that was because kenny stayed up for all the fights. A pure solo zone should not be reliant on a healer merc, but hey, I'm happy I got me hound! Smile

Did you start the zone new today, or reset it for your attempts today? Players in this thread are reporting a different experience, after they reset it. *fingers crossed*

[103] Deep in the Lost Shadows
Hover with your flying too fast after killing 12 grimlings seems to ruin the Kraghat spawning on you.
Deleted quest, tried again, spawned after kill 7/12. Nothing happened again at 12/12, killed a bonus grimling, Kraghat jumped out of its bodied.

Side note: First time I did this quest, I was doing the Researcher Amoney's grimling vial walloping, which also was about grimlings.

The grimling density feels a bit low, for the island, and I dread having to do it with enemy hunters, who don't necessarily do the 8 vialed grimlings and 12 for Deep in Lost at the same time(ie, guys hunting for 20 kills.. had to really poke around for 12, with hardly anyone/no one else there).

LOL now when they give you the buff spells the hotbar opens but theres no spells in it.. wtf..

I reset the zone and tried it again this morning and still got killed 3 times. I kept the buffs up but it was still not enough with the solo armor.
I am using Fathom chain helmet, Phantom Striker Mantle, Fairwind Chain Shirt, Fairwind Chain Bracers, Windjammer Chain Gloves, Breakwater Chain Chausses, Breakwater Chain Shoes, The Traders Gift for Armor.

Weaponry = Starque's Mad Dasher, Polished Rigger's Axe, Phantom Satchel of the explorer.

Jewels and charms = The Deinodon's Rest, Polished Runestone Shard, Bauble of the unkempt, The Pygmy's respite, Brackish Pearl Necklace, Grugz's band of strength, Gem studded iridium ring, Phantom Cadmium bangle, Ghorkaal Bone Wristlet, Worn belt of the cursed forest.

When I made the first attempts the shissar abilities turned up on their own hot bar. When I tried again after the patch in the same instance I had to open a hot bar and drag the abilities from my spell book. When I deleted the quest and reset the zone the abilities did not disappear from my spell book and when I entered the zone the special hotbar appeared but it was empty of spells and they had to be dragged from my spell book. I did not notice any difference between the spells from my first attempt and the spells from the subsequent attempts. Is it possible that they were not updated because they were still in my spell book and therefore I was still using an old version?

I had this same experience: jumped to fly after killing the 12th, no Kraghat, landed, still no joy. I didn't delete the quest; instead I kept running around a bit in case he was supposed to attack me. When that didn't work, I tried killing a random grimling, and *then* he spawned and I was able to progress.

I made the following changes yesterday:
  • Shattered Seas: Temple of Doom - The Shissar Codex abilities are removed from the player's knowledge book upon leaving "Ssraeshza Temple: Shadow of Luclin" or deletion of the quest.
  • Shattered Seas: Temple of Doom - All aspects of Shielding Scales now assists the caster (not the target), as intended.
  • Shattered Seas: Temple of Doom - Belzia now has spell visuals to show Codex powers transferring from Dargan to player.
I don't know when these changes will be on Beta, but they should be called out in the update notes at that time.

actually to those saying its to hard now you must be doing something seriously wrong.. I actually just stood there for a good 20 seconds not casting anything and never died..

The changes to the temple of doom meant that I was able to finish the quest although when I left the instance to delete the quest and reset it the shissar abilities were still not removed from my spell book. It took the finishing of the quest for them to be removed.
