Cant find the 3 flasks for the samples, I've searched high and low. Theres a big empty spot on duality desk where i assume the flasks should be.

Could be because i left the zone to get mats to craft the samples? I also crafted the sample in the guild hall.

I can't find the 3 flasks either. I stayed in the zone.

Did you leave because The Duality told you to use a workbench? The quest journal actually says to use a chemistry table, which does exist in the zone.

There were about 5 of us running through simultaneously, and none of us found the flasks (well, I found a set of chemistry flasks, but they weren't clickable.) That included some of us leaving and returning to see if the zone reset, and others staying put, so looks like a genuine bug!

Same bug, I can't find the flask to drop powder. I have zoning out and in, leaving game, nothing (and no carpet so far).

On the quest before, mobs are coming to me while crafting.
It's very strange to have an adventure interraction for solo quest (I can only zone solo inside)

Same issue with AWOL flasks. I left the zone to grab one ingredient I was missing, but I did come back and do the combine in the zone.

That's a good point. I meant to feedback that last night. The quest text suggests avoiding them, but I didn't see any way I could - they died *very* easily at 95, but they also came in and attacked while I was crafting. Even when I was on the far side of the room from the door they walked in and aggro'd immediately. A low level crafter would be flattened!

Noticed this too, Noticed how easily i killed them on my very undergeared assassin. Assumed since its an instance they could be scaled to adv level and intended.

same here. can't see flasks on the table.

gathering the first 5 notes in his sanctum was kind of a jump'n'run. as medium sized Erudite I couldn't see any of the books from the ground. needed to jump up to be able to pick them up.

I take it the flasks are still MIA?
Al'Kabor says, "I put them on the desk beside me. Drop a few grains of sample into each."

He does have his multiple personalities, split between bodies and all of them are centuries old. He's taking senile to a whole new level. Maybe it's good we don't see what he sees? Smile

For the quest before this, I did it on a character I had made fresh on beta and buffed for tradeskill only. She was lvl 7 from disco xp by the time she got there. The wandering mob scaled to just above her level, so it does scale appropriately. I can also suggest just waiting on the far side of the room for the mob to leave before crafting, or just summoning a table over there.

For this quest, yay for flasks! Now if someone could remind the Duality he does not have a work bench, and the recipe he gives us is for a chemistry table anyway, so no one else will spend 10 minutes mousing over every single thing in the zone before finally summoning a work bench only to find that isn't the right crafting station after all?

(As an aside, can the beta buffer also give us FSTC faction maybe please? Discovered the hard way that no /claim, no marketplace, no faction, and no status means no flying mount and a very limited selection of land mounts. I swam - SWAM - from the Isle of Refuge to Kithikor!)

Completed this quest chain. I think. Ends right after you go back to town and talk to the original giver? It seemed short and unrewarding. Is there more or is the reward not hooked in yet?

After finishing this quest it hints at something else but cannot find any more quests and the achievement for all the Crafting Quests in Alter of Malice is stuck at 23 out of 25, doing the daily and weekly quests does not increase this count either, are we missing something?

The dialog ended with reporting to the commander? Maybe the overloard for the freeport side. I didnt have time to go see if he would have an audience with me. But i was most certainly not quest driven there.

Glad to hear it scales! As to Isle of Refuge to Kith -- I don't know if faction is required for the 'return to' tokens, but if not the FSTC merchant has Return to Isle of Refuge and Return to Kithicor ones in addition to the Mara one.

Returning to Wells is the end of this questline. This little series ties into the adventurer's signature quest line; Wells is going to give the two items back to the city emissary and adventurers are going to use them to save the day once again. Ideally of course many players will see both sides of the story and get the big picture, for those who only do the crafting side it's just intended to be a little extra fun and nod to the lore in the signature quest.

The Mistmoore instance does indeed scale so the patrolling guard is yellow to your level. He's just intended to keep you on your toes. If you stay at the far end of the library, he won't see you. I could make him a little (or a lot) harder if that seems like it would be more fun? Would it be better for him to be unkillable?

I think the difficulty was fine. He did aggro even when I was looking for notes on the far side of the room, and he also aggroed while I was mid-combine. Unkillable would likely be annoying in that instance! Also, I killed him several times, it seems like there was a constant stream coming up from the lower door, so I killed two before I even oriented myself as to where to go look for Mistmoore's notes.

It would be far more fun if you could craft a noise maker that would keep him busy elsewhere while you search. Something to throw down the stairs as a distraction?
