![]() The horizontal bar which afixes the standard to my saddle is going through my left thigh. In the second pic you can see the position of the joint to which the bar is attached. Half Elf, Non-SOGA (NEVER Soga!!) |

![]() Get some stirrups and you will be OK. You are not too far forward - most cross country riders are far forward to take their weight off the horses's back. It much harder for a horse to move at a run if you sit bolt upright in the middle of his back. |
