Hello hello,

It's THAT time of the year again, so I'll open up once more the same subject as always.

In previous years, Testers (players flagged as Testers in this board) sometimes gained an ealy access into closed beta. For exemple, last year, most of us made it to the friend and family stage of beta and I think we did a good job at ironing out a big bunch of the bugs on Beastlords and Freeport quests.

Dedicated testers are usually used to play in buggy settings, know how to /bug, /feedback and /typo, post usefull guides or descriptions of bugs, try to replicate the bugs and put out macro warnings for major game crashing bugs and such.Random beta invites bring good testers to the pool too, but there is always a huge chunk of players who only come to beta to have a quick look, beta buff at max level with top gear and duel at SS docks.

What is the policy on testers this year? Will they get flagged as beta testers once the NDA is signed or will they have to pass through the random chosing and make it or not depending only on shear luck?

it would be great if people that test more, submit bugs and post and respond to forum threads on specific issues got priority. i know i've been on the last 3 beta's but didn't get in to AoD until a few days to a week before it launched, and by then most of the bugs had already been licked. Still did what i could with issues with the apprentices and such. And i've already got a test guild setup there with amenities and such, so if it's not wiped i'll be raring to go and help in any way i can SMILEY

We are getting things squared away for beta right now. We will be letting everyone know when we are ready for folks to jump in and get some testing done.

I will be around on beta doing specific testing as time allows. I can't promise any sort of reward but I will be running focus groups with random folks I see running things.

I know you are only talking about short term "lucky if you right place&time" but ive been thinknig why not offer test title rewards.

e.g

title "of test server" account wide earned after X number of contributions leading to a bug/glitch fix (useful bug reports or provding new useful information of said bugs) - tabulation would have to be done manually (something like a list of charater names helping torwards a bug fix as it is being worked on)

Why not just check who put the time in, instead of alienating more people with lucky me I helped a dev pixels. Lots of people devote a lot of time and effort to making things run smoothly and bug finding etc etc and they all deserve some recognition.

Better to give rewards to some slackers to make sure you catch all the hard workers, than it is to play favorites.

i send report, dont know since i dont get response in game.

there is some issue with undercon mobs are acting like super heroic, and one of quest cant be done solo due to "very fast spawns, and not getting an item near by them to get "item recover". so frustrating when i see no one was near needing same quest to be updated.

with maxed 92 lvl combat skill would kill those undecons by 3 hits, non-cons by 4-5 hits. i noticed there is too many heroics on the "patrol-mode", way too many and they overlapped other mobs that i was targeting.

by the way, i didnt like skill reset, it very time consuming, so i better get skill mirror to save files on skills on my characters.

i cant wait in few weeks for official launch day so i can make few screenshots, that forest is really well done, i love it.

edited:, by the way is that SC's points at 999,999 is a joke? or just temperory for test? i know beta will be delete when it is done. so that may be nothing to worry?

Personally I think there should have been a closed Beta with just dedicated people on test.  While it is cool that everyone can do Beta and test, the amount of whining I've seen from people wanting beta buffed to 95 or just complaining in general.  While I'm sure the loyal people on the test server complain they don't demand things be given they accept and work towards the goal and give feed back.  Now I'm not saying that people not playing on test aren't giving feedback.  I try to give my feedback, but I think some people who are used to buggy situations should have had a closed beta to themselves.
