![]() The instructions at http://www.everquest2.com/news/article?month=012009&id=2036 tell you to copy the game directory and make a shortcut to the TestEQ2.ext file. Unfortunately, there isn't a file by that name on my computer... Is there an up to date cheat sheet on getting access to Test anywhere? |

![]() With the new launchpad it's a little different. Easy without download/verify and small patching: Start launchpad. click the tools button in lower left. Click open game directory. hold ctrl key and press a (to select all files) Then hold ctrl key and hit c. (copies everything selected) make a new folder in that location called testserver enter that directory and hold ctrl and hit v. that copies live to test. once the copy is done re-start the patcher and in the upper left where it says version: US English, click that, then on the screen that comes up ther's a dropdown. click that and choose public test. Should be a short patch and that's it. To go back to live hit version and switch back to US English (or whatever yours is supposed to be) EDIT (added missing step) |

![]() Or as a time consuming process, you can start launchpad, click version US English, change it to Public Test, apply and wait a couple hours. |

![]() Thanks to both of you... I know what my system will be doing this evening. Two requests to GMs; 1 - Put this information into a sticky 2 - Update the link referenced in the first post |

![]() I thought I had one up in the test forums but must have removed it for some reason. I'll put up a new sticky there. |
