![]() I just spent two bucks on these games, one on each account, and I'm not at all impressed. I suspect that if the prices and the prizes stay the same, it will be the only two bucks I spend on this. The games themselves were, meh, simple...the one where you feed the gobbies took me a bit longer than the other two, but I might have been doing this one wrong and thus put more effort into it than was required. My prize, both times, was a choice between a research potion that costs 100sc -- exactly what I spent to play the game -- or two goblin coins. You can't do much with only two goblin coins, so if you choose that prize you'll have to play at least several more times and get a bunch more coins. So, for my two bucks and my minimal effort to play the games, I essentially bought two research potions that I couldn't care less about having, but if I did want them I could have simply bought them from the marketplace for the same SC and not have bothered with the goblins. The only reason I can see to play these games right now is if you want to buy an unattuner for $16, and I have one of those on my LON account that I've never even bothered to claim so for me this is very little incentive. I also saw a picture of a flying lion that may be available only for goblin coins...not sure because I don't see it offered in the marketplace just yet, maybe it's on test. However, I imagine the mount will also cost many goblin coins and thus is will require more cash and more effort than I'm willing to put into yet another mount (yeah, effort...the gobbie games are not difficult, but when I think of playing 16 times just to buy an unattuner...)

![]() The lion mount is only winnable from playing the game from what I saw. It's not available at all in the coin purchase area. |

meh, overall pretty lame. Because of the unattuner $OE will make a lot of money and call this a 'win'. I bought 10 and got ten random 50sc items I would never have bought, now i can try them and see if they really are lame. |

![]() Everyone should do themselves a favor and type /claim. You get three free tickets for a gold sub. Mine yielded Pegasus Wings, Ratonga Heritage Armor, and a research potion. I'm pretty much done after that, the chance for an unattuner is too slim, could care less about a flying lion, and there's no way I'm dropping $16 bucks to unattune one item. SOE, do us all a favor and make this stuff tradeable so we can sell the junk we don't want on the broker. You can go ahead and make your real money, let us trade/sell it so we can make our fake money. |

Just spent my 3 free tickets a bit ago. Got a health potion, a 1-week research reduction pot and a 1-day research reduction pot. Yup, not spending my SC on it... the lion mount is cool, but not that cool. |

Correct me if I'm wrong here... You can choose currency instead of the reward, and the unatuner is available off the merchant, so there is a fixed cost for a guaranteed unatuner, no? The sad thing is, they put ridiculous items on 'new features' and call the new feature a win, rather than delivering actual features we want. The sad thing is how many players thank them for delivering on things like this.

![]() If I wanted to gamble my money away, there are plenty of opportunities for me to do so. I don't see me partaking in this "feature." I didn't even claim the ones I have (because I didn't know about it til I read this thread). EQ2 is starting to feel more and more like a fly-by-night Facebook game, and I'm not liking it. |

Sadly, this. I got one ticket, spent a few minutes on a pointlessly easy "game," & "won" my choice of a 1-day research reducer, or 2 Goblin Gold. I couldn't care less about either one, but at least I didn't spend real money on it -- nor will I.

Nope, not wrong. Essentially you get to pick from a random trinket or two goblin gold. The unattuner costs 32 goblin gold or $16. You can't directly buy the unattuner with Station Cash either. You need to either win it, or play the "punch me in the face boring" games 16 times. |

![]() I used my 3 free tickets. I won 2 research reduction potions and a minor xp potion. All useless to me, but oh well. Even if I had chosen to take the 2 coins each time, that would only be 6 coins and still useless to me. It was a momentary diversion and definitely not something I will be spending any actual money on. I may "splurge" my free monthly SC on a ticket or two but that's it. |

![]() But hey, they didn't add game breaking stuff to SC as promised! They just created a mini-game that costs SC to reward those items instead Every F2P out there sells unatuners, in many cases its the highest selling item on their marketplace. It is not surprising they worked to find a way to 'sell' them to us.

You can also win a chest of goblin gold (I won 50). I agree that the game is pretty dumb, although I find it interesting that it is played in an in game zone. |

![]() I don't find anything about these games to get particularly upset about. It's just a different way of selling the same old junk they've had on the marketplace for years, but with a bit of a gambling spin on it. The only new thing is the unattuner, and those have been available for years anyway. The difference is that now you can buy them directly from SOE, rather than through some questionable third-party online LoN loot site, and the price probably won't be as outrageous. Still, $16 to unattune one item is pretty far outside the realm of reasonable, so I doubt many folks will buy them who wouldn't have shelled-out for the LoN unattuners, anyway. Overall, besides the typical crowd who never miss the opportunity to spew their vitriol over any new addition to the Marketplace, I can't see these games having any noticeable impact on the community. But I am sure that won't stop people from overreacting, as usual. |

Thanks for mentioning that we have three goblin tickets in our claim goodies spot. I've used those now, and for those who are trying to gauge their chances of getting anything other than potions, here are my results: on my first account I got my choice of the standard two goblin game tickets, or a minor potion of the advanced, a health potion and a research time reduction 2. Bleh, none of these items interest me or tempt me to play again. On my second account, things went a bit better. I got an Erudite armor crate and a storm cloud mount, as well as a research time reduction 2 potion. I see we will be getting free goblin game tickets monthly, and so I expect that I will enjoy using these tickets in the same way I enjoy claiming my free LON card packs each month. I mean, they're free, and occasionally I get a really neat item in one of my packs. I don't see where I would need to purchase additional tickets for these games, but certainly I appreciate the free tickets.

as stupid as the mini game is its not gambling at all, you buy the tickets and get a random prize. you get no RL or tradeable in game currency back , just the goblin tokens you spend at the merchant. |

if there was a chance of getting nothing you would be correct, but you will always get a variable reward, that is the only thing left to chance so it does not adhere to the definition of gambling. You purchase the ticket with sc for the chance os a random loot item, as it staes you play until you win an item, there is no chance of loss of anything

![]() *shrug* I spent 2,000 SC - got 4300 SC in items (2 heritage crates, a mount and 2 vital potions) and 126 goblin coins (3 unattuners). Other people I know who spent more than a few tries on it all got something worth at least 1950 SC. It's a cool little distraction and a nice way to get unattuners without spending thousands of plat on a LoN trade or hundreds of $ on random LoN packs which I have yet to get a cool loot card out of any of my free ones, so ... can imagine how much money i'd waste trying to actually get one that way. All in all - A- grade from me for them. Love the new mount and the unattuners, getting random SC fluff items is cool. But the games are rather boring and too easy, so no A+ from me! Glad they didn't put raid loot in it though like was rumored. |

![]() For the most part it looks like a chance to win pre-existing marketplace items on the cheap. I see nothing game-breaking about this. I can see the ability to get the unattuner here having a negative impact on LoN sales though. The way I see it is that this is simply a more honest version of LoN. |
