![]() One of the rewards from the Sword of Destiny was access to special red adorn runes in Thurgadin from Maayla A'nadir, right next to the Duality. The only way to get these 'focus' runes was to complete a long series of quests. Now when you log in they are stripped from your inventory and you are given plat and pure primal velium shards for them. There are three problems with this: 1. You can continue to buy these runes, even now, and every time you do you they are taken away and you are given the plat and pure primal velium shards in return. 2. They only cost 18g66s on the vendor not the 10 shards and 5 plat you get back. 3. This was a reward for a quest. I worked very hard for this focus and now there is no reward? Anyone can now choose this focus and that was fine, if the reward was you could still get this rune and use it for a bonus focus. That was the way it was last week when I logged in, but not now. Give us something for completing the quests...

![]() All red focus adorn reimbursment needs looked at. These aren't the only ones exploitable. Sentinals Fate focus adorns currently get reimbursed with DoV shards. |

![]() So... the quest rewards for that high-end quest are basically being gutted? Seriously? --Nibs |

Not really. You can still buy the adornments, they just no longer have the focus effects on them because you get the focus effects for free. |

1. The focus effects are not free, you get to spend so many points to get the ones you want and can not get them all. 2. More importantly, no one is going to do all of those quests for an inferior version of the runes that Momo sells (2cb vs 3 cb). I am going to use the Momo rune. You have eliminated the reward for those quests because no one is going to do a long series of quests so they can buy kmart blue jeans instead of Levis. At the very least they should be given more effects than the normal ones Momo sells (ie 4cb vs 3cb) 3. Further, the focus on those adorns were specific to that quest arc. You had to do it to get those foci, they were not found on armor like the other focus that you are taking off. You are now giving a powerful focus to everyone that had been reserved for those that spent days or weeks following a quest arc. 4. This is another example of how you guys spend tons of time developing content that is good and interesting and rewarding, only to turn around and break it a year or two down the road, thereby lowering the number of things for us to do. If anyone makes a game out there with as much content in it as you have removed, revamped or trivialized to the point no one wants to do it, then they will likely have a top mmo on their hands. EQ2 customers, however, will all be playing in a tiny hub and repeating different versions of the same four dungeons that came out lately, because nothing else is nearly as rewarding in the game (Skyshrine atm).

That is entirely false. All those Foci are found on SF merchants already. As for them being "powerful". Not even close for a lot of classes.Example: The brigand "reward" adorn gave a touch more physical mitigation to their DEFENSIVE stance. Hahahaha. |

My mistake. I was not aware of the one in Paineel. Regardless, the quest arc gave the focus along with an added effect that was like having two red adorns in one.
