I must be missing something very basic about dungeons, because the avatar in the solo dungeon I just tried (my first dungeon experience) seemed impossibly weak for the mobs he had to fight.  He barely survived the fight with the first mob, and was out of power at the end of the fight.  Then, his power never came back up -- although I waited quite awhile, it remained at zero.  Am I supposed to put armor on this guy?  Bring food and potions?  If a dungeon is listed as "solo," should I expect to be able to solo it? And why did the avatar's power fail to regenerate?  Is this possibly a bug, or was I supposed to do something to make this happen?

some avatars like one of the steampunk ones lose power when not in combat and generate power through attacks i presume. i've only seen one in action and not played as one.

There are a variety of avatars that only generate power by actually using abilities. I use the Construct or Myconid Templar a lot and they are like that. It's weird to get used to, I admit. But, it's actually kind of nice for chain killing. You'll see there's 1 specific attack you hit repeatedly. It does the damage and gives you power each attack. That'll let you cast something else, like a heal when needed.

I discovered that this morning. I feel kinda bad because I /bugged it, then learned how it works. It's counterintuitive to the way I've played the game for years.

Ooohhh!  Thanks!  I'll go back and try again.  I guess, once you get into a position where you have no power and need to use an ability in order to replenish your power, if that ability you need to use takes power -- that would be a problem, huh?  LOL.
