![]() Incoming typical fanboi comments "I was just in SS and there were 2 instances! Did you hear that, 2 instances of the only relevant 92+ content in the game! How can you say people are leaving when there are not 1, but 2 instances!!!!!!!" |

![]() Level 90+ content SF - obsolete. SH - Obsolete Dov - Obsolete Drunder - Obsolete SS - current content and very light in terms of actual content. Make it all relevant again ( all solo, heroic and raid ) so we can play everywhere and have lots of instances to do. That would indeed be a very smart move and keep the top level population happy and busy for a long time. |

![]() Agreed. Heroic content prior to SS is only worth doing for plat and transmutibles. In terms of raid content. Most players outside of progression guilds will not be able to tackle PoW or the (few) HM version of the SS mobs. DoV EM & HM and Drunder EM raid zones pointless except for shorthanded plat runs. Drunder HM encounterd are still too hard for most guilds and not worth the time and effort until the new loot tables are added which leaves TWO SS raid zones. One of those EM raid zones can be cleared in under 15 minutes and the other in under 30. With nothing on the horizon for a few months that is not a good position for the game to be in. |

![]() Weren't the game devs talking about a zone by zone revamp ages and ages ago? It all started off with the Feerott having horses etc but its died a death. I want to cast my vote for all the old zones to be made meaningful again rather than somewhere to grind in the rush to lvl 90. |

![]() @ ShinGoko Meaningful to who? Old zones are still meaningful when leveling. But how big is the niche of people that spend weeks in a tier while leveling? The gear in them doesn't need revamping again. The mobs have to be easy enough so the poor true newbies who don't come to these forums can still kill things in them while being level 40 with 25 AA while wearing the gear that dropped from the previous tier and using apprentice spells. @ Drupal: Not that DP or UD are exceedingly difficult or anything, but should loot from Erudin Library, a 2+ year old release that most if not all classes can solo really be as relevant as loot from Skyshrine instances? I'd like to see Drunder and EoW be relevant again as group content. Knowing we're sixish weeks away from HM Drunder revamp really makes me just want to ignore it till then, since old loot isn't getting upgraded. In general, the reset with Skyshrine wasn't a bad idea, just poorly itemized. The problem is it's almost like the launch of a new game. How many people played Rift or the new Star Wars, got to level cap in two weeks and got bored doing the same small amount of raids over and over? The updating of gear in HM Drunder will help, as would a new zone with the next GU (Wishful thinking), I get all the Maluus I need while doing Lichlord fight, I don't need to go back and do whole SF raids again |

I know what you are saying, but I still don't like the current situation. Dov was a gear reset , then SS another gear reset. Normally it would be fine if we had enough content to keep everyone busy, but we don't. From this point of view it seems silly to have lvl 90 zones which no one ever touches. oh and regarding Rift and SWTOR, I played them both for 1 month and then I was out of there |

![]() As I am a casual player and not a raider, I don't know what's broken about the game. I have no problems. I disagree with SF and SBH or DoV being obsolete as they have been and will continue to be instrumental in my hitting 280 AAs (I'm at 271 now) and then getting t0 92. Just because some people are tired of those zones doesn't make them obsolete. Gear, as I don't raid, I cannot comment. |

I think you are being deliberately obtuse, the point they are trying to make is that there is VERY limited content for the present tier. Two raid zones that take under an hour to clear and a couple of heroic zones does not an expansion make. HM Drunder is really not worth the effort until we see what the new itemisation brings and even then will still be beyond a large chunk of the player base. The point is, they are playing a dangerous game, hoping that what little there is will hold people until they add new content. Can the game's population in it's current state state take that? |

I don't think you even understand what this thread is about. We have 3 heroic zones, 1 average size raid zone and 2 other very small raid zones. Do you really think that's enough content to keep ppl busy for a year and a half until they manage to come up with 3 more zones ? What I am proposing is that they bring the other lvl 90 content up so that it's attractive and people want to run it, thus giving us more relevant content to play with. Is it really that hard to understand for you ? |

first off expansions are yearly not once a year and a half. I think where they went wrong is they split up dov and aod into two part releases instead of all at once with the recent release being only a couple months ago. I do understand what they are talking about with itimization. its kinda pretty simple and obvious and as far as content yeah its not enough for the folks who have 24-7 to play. meanwhile us casual folks still havent even gotten half of it done. why bring other level 90 content up when we have 92+ stuff to do? apparently your the one with lack of understanding here on game mechanics in a mmo. maybe youhaven't played that many of them |

![]() Ladymist, I am very much on your side, you just say it better than I do LOL. For those folks that raid, this is forever going to be a problem regardless of WHAT game is played or how often content ccomes out. As you stated, these games have many more people, kids, others that are stay at home and don't have to, or can't work, and have hours on end time to play. Where those of us that must worked, 40 hours a week, and have real lives, are very limited on play time so we level much much slower. I really see no way to balance the gap between 24/7's and us casual people. |

Oh the words of the ignorant are quite amusing. Reality check time.SS raid content takes ~4 hrs a week to clear. Drunder HM needed to be adressed, pure and simple. It still needs to NOW, not a month from now or whenever gu64 hits. This is because that content is still harder than SS easy mode raids even with the new gear. However if you want to run around in your 4RT BP and with Yael weapons too bad, with 4 groups now you can destroy those zones these days. Once drunder hm is viable again, between that, quick SS runs and maybe full raids against Dagarn HM the lower guilds on the ladder will have plenty to do and those further along are basically forced back to farm the new red slot items and the new Vallon BPs and so have plenty to do along with the SS HM and PoW.

What about us who work and go to school, have kids to take care of and don't need our hand held to get things done? Does that mean we should get more? If you don't have the time, or whatever excuse, why should you get what others get? Kind of like someone gets an education and makes good money, while the other doesnt "have the time", but should be rewarded the same.. I've heard this before somewhere..

SOE can't please everyone 100%, it will always be a balancing act. However, the difference in gear from even SF dungeons (level 90) to DoV1 dungeons (level 90) to WL overland (also level 90) needs to be on a less steep curve. There is no point stepping foot in SF dungeons or DoV1 dungeons, that only give loot wearable at level 90, when you can get twice as good gear from WL off easier mobs with the same level restrictions. SF gear should be a few (10 or 20?) points lower than DoV1 gear, and the level requirements lowered to 85. DoV1 stuff should be similar stats, maybe a little lower than WL gear, and be wearable at maybe 88-90. Right now the gulf in gear quality between level 89 and 90 is stupid, with an absolute ton of gear that will never get worn at any time, so therefore people will rarely go to the zones.

![]() They'll NEVER be able to produce enough content to keep hard core players satisfied. Ain't going to happen. The amount of content generated per year probably depends on the number of people they can employ. Basically they can generate content at a certain rate and players consume content at a certain rate. Players who consume content very fast -- such that the descrepancy between production and consumption is very large -- will NEVER be happy. They'll always be spending 90% of their playtime doing stuff over and over again. As for players who consume content slower, they won't have to resort to reruns quite so much. So if you feel the need to rush through a new expansion in a few weeks go right ahead, but know that it'll still be a long time before there's more. They're not going to hire a bunch of people they can't afford to pay just so you don't have to wait so long for the next batch of content you'll rush through. |

![]() The hard truth to swallow is that the gameplay mechanics of eq2 have not aged well due to their simplistic linearity. If they add more instances, where will they fit in with progression? You make it better then SS, CD, Lycuem, and DP then people will whine how the gear vendor for Skyshrine and the challenge zones of CD/LY/DP are completely pointless and that they spent hours grinding faction for nothing. You make the gear better then that challenge/vendor gear then raiders will whine how the new group items are roughly the equivalent to Betrayals/Awakened drops. I personally blame challenge zones though. They should have never been added to the game. They completely mess up progression to such an extent that its literally a nightmare im assuming if you're a developer.

![]() A real easy fix.. for both Raiders and the non or casual raider. Re-vamp the gear so that content follows the entire expansion. DOV EM Drunder EM DOV HM Skyshrine Drunder HM POW.... With Skyshrine Raids so easy.. and the Drunder HM so much more challenging.. Nerf the Skyshrine or Increase the stats on the Drunder HM gear. Dont nerf the zones.. Keep them same level of difficulty, just adjust the gear to fit the level of difficulty of the zone. This will keep those guilds that are easily blowing SS apart progressing forward thru numerous zones to obtain better gear until they've gotten thru POW... This also will help the casual raiders with getting better as a raid force. For those that don't raid.. working thru the DOV content and the Skyshrine content puts them in some pretty good gear as well, with lots of quest to keep them going until next expansion. (and yes... Not sure where to put DOV HM and Skyshrine in the list... Skyshrine is a bit too simple) |

The exact point we made in the earliest testing of DoV 2.0. It was relevant and ignored then, and it took what 5 months of constant complaining to get it agreed to be addressed? This is a fine example of how much foresight they have in this game and just how much they 'value' player feedback. The very best thing that could happen to EQ2 over the next year is if people at sony actually took a shot of seriously playing their own game again.

Well said. This is my thoughts to the snide remark about me wanting things handed to me. I never said that. I don't think that. On a side note, I found the SF SBH gear completely worthless. I was wearing mastercrafted gear which was way way better than the rewards from the quests. On another side note, are you telling me that the quests in Skyshrine, Dracur prime, Lyceum and UD which I can't get into yet, are it? There is nothing past UD? If that's the case, I can see what all the fuss is about. |

![]() I am not one for instances. I like zones like sundered frontier etc. I like to quest, I don't like dungeons or instances. Stems from my claustophobia issue. I prefer outdoors. I would love to see more open areas. LARGE open areas. KJ is way way to small. |

That is why they had a HM and an EM Drunder. Your statement is true here, the lower 30% (maybe more) of the guilds that are clearing the UD raid content (term used loosely) in SkyShrine couldn't clear EM Drunder on their best day at 92 with the new prestige abilities. HM Drunder however, will be fun and challenging to a lot more guilds at the new 92 with the new prestige abilities. I just hope they don't nerf it further in addition to previous nerfs, it has also been nerfed technically by the level cap increase, and when the itemization is redone that will be equivalent to a nerf. It is hard to work that content in now when we are preogressing in PoW but have the last 3 to go in HM Vallon and the accomplishment is much less at 92 vs 90 all things considered. You are correct though even with the new itemization it will still be beyond the capabilities of a very large segment, there are casual raiders just like there are casual players. As much as they hate to hear and can not admit, casual raiders simply have no business in HM Drunder or PoW. Elitist? Not one little bit, where does CHALLENGE MODE or HARD MODE even remotely sound inviting to casuals?
