This should be an interesting one.

I just hope they don't mention "Qeynos revamp this summer, more Velious content after that!" Because we've known that stuff for a long time now.

I'm hoping to hear something about heroic scarecrows in Antonica returning. I'd buy a multi-month sub just for that.

Now that we have adventure potions on the market are we going to get crafting ones as well?  I know quite a few crafters willing to part with a lot of SC for these SMILEY

There are items being used in game that came from POW that were reforged and after the changes were implemented on test and it was discovered what could be done a concious effort was made by some players to reforge gear giving them an unfair advantage over others. Whether or not some/any/all who did this knew or not is not up for debate.

SOE why will you not remove the reforging on any POW gear, put the item into overflow and alert the player that due to a bug in the reforging mechanic the gear was manually restored and reforging costs were refunded?

Can someone please give us a summary of the relevant parts? Or a transcript, whatever. I don't have the time to listen to webcasts.

This game is great!

Adding solo adventure options really made a difference for me.

Seemless Freeport was outstanding!  I love that place now!

But I'd like more control over customizing my character. The sliders don't go far enough.  And maybe a blend of hairstyles so we all don't look so... "related"?? Maybe one style could overlay another style to get a whole new look?  And how about eye shadow, lipcolor, more like the choices we had in Star Wars Galaxies?  If I'm going down in battle, I want to go down lookin' good!

And showing the rings (decorative) was fun, but how about letting us see all the jewelry we wear?  Not just the decorative stuff, can't we wear the jeweller crafted stat-enhanced jewelry as viewable as well?

I would like to choose a favorite color for my character at creation and have that color tint any armor I choose.  So, if my favorite color is pink, my armor tints pink.  Maybe I could go to the "barber" and reselect a favorite color if it turns out badly?  At least my leather armor won't look so much like the leather armor you're wearing?

Also, I'd like to have the decorator choices we had in the cheaper homes put into the premium housing.  I'd like to choose the floor coloring, wall coloring etc.

And can we get gardening ingame like EQ1 has?  As a provisionor, I could grow my own stuff to prepare?  Or maybe just decorative food items and flowers?  We could harvest the seeds from around Norrath then plant them in our premium housing zones to grow over time? Make it a provisioner harvestable skill only if it's too much for the economy??

And could we get a water tool added to the edit mode for premium housing?  Something to create a pond over there, or a little stream right here, that kind of thing?  Right now we use fountains, ponds, and mirrors to create water effects if our housing doesn't having anything.

And can you reduce the pain a little on the Mercs?  I pay 5pp for my merc up front & 25gp every 30 minutes.  But I pay another 25gp to get him back if he dies. I may have just antied up the 25gp, 10 minutes later he's dead, ouch, another 25gp?  Couldn't there be a death clause that allows the merc to revive without the fee?

Just a few thoughts, I have a million of them

Questions I would like answers too are....

...not that you have to answer any or all them but if one could be I would be happy.

Any plans to give our character more options in hair styles and hair color as well?

Any plans to give players more building blocks such as triangles? Also along with these, walls with windows or window openings?

Any plans to add more plants, Trees and other fill-ins for landscapes? Such a flowers, cornstalks, tomatoes stalks?

Any plans in the near future to add more farm type animals in various colors such as lambs, sheep, bulls, chickens, rabbits, squirrels, fish swarms similar to the harvestable ones and birds? Would like to see the pigs and cows be more than one color too.

Player house Doors... any plans to give them a rectangle type frame of sorts? Reason being it is kind of hard to fill the sides or corners on the Neriak and Kelethin doors as it is now.

Any chance of getting player craftable doors?

Any plans to maybe add another class? -a suggestion is I would love to see the bloodmage type class similar to the Vanguard class of it.

Any plans to add another new race?

I love wings, would like to see more options for the fae races like seeing male via female wings be usable for both sexes please.

...asking for my kid any plans to add a underwater city that we can actually interact with like npc's?

(PS) Oh please can we get more (flying) mounts, house items and appearance items in pink tones pretty please?

Feel free to ignore, but some of these have been on my mind for awhile and, since you've given us this chance, I thought, what the heck.

I was a *huge* fan of EQ1.  My (ex) husband said that I treated it like a huge, graphically enhanced chatroom, and I did /laugh.  I would sit in PoK for hours giving buffs, going on rez runs and just talking with people.

EQ2, while much better in some ways, is terrible with regards to socialization and, while there are definite advantages to soloing, it's hard to level certain characters without groups at higher levels.

Is there a way that we can have quests that, if you are part of a group when you get them but you come back later and are solo, could be *tweaked* in such a way as to be completed solo?  For example: in groups, you split the XP among the groupmates and the challenges are hard enough for the group to have fun.  But if you don't complete it with a group, that the XP would go to regular soloing but so would the challenge.

Another is, can we get class/role specific quest lines? For instance, if a shaman/mystic wants to roleplay as a true shaman, which means no killing of bears or wolves or killing in general, can we get quests that are focused on non-killing of 'regular' targets.

... While EQ1 has gone to Free-to-Play as well, I have a very difficult time unlearning everything I've gotten used to in EQ2.  Are we ever going to see a version that melds the two together?  Taking the best of the best of both and merging them into an EQ3?

I would also like to see more realistic recipes for tradeskills.  I mean, yes, roots are a low level item, but roots should be used in higher level recipes as well, AND be able to be foraged/gathered in higher level zones so that higher level toons aren't over-running the newbie/lower level zones.

Also, you are doing it with the mercenaries and such NPCs now so, is it possible to create NPCs that give quests to you that actually JOIN your group (and interact with?) to complete the quests?  Like... a group of D&D people have to achieve an objective and some times are joined by characters played by the DM to complete that goal and then they leave - usually.  I would love more interaction with NPCs, not only as someone you pay to act as a tank or healer for soloers, but for fun of quests as well.

Items in houses can be moved back and forth and turned around horizontally and made smaller or bigger.  Can we add the ability to turn them vertically as well, please.

One thing I like to do, is to /bow, /salute, /flirt or whatever with NPCs, just to RP or to break up the routine of just talking to something that's not going to respond in any other way a bit.  Could we add NPC responses to PCs for more 'realistic' interactions?  Just for fun, possibly for 'unknown' quests or rewards or even storylines.

Despite all of the above, I want you to know that I really enjoy playing.  Thanks for a great game SMILEY

Graphics. In the begining, EQ2 was touted to be a graphical revolution for multiplayer gaming having features so intense even the most current hardware at the time could not take advantage of every option. The makers talked about how in the future the technology would finally catch up allowing those with high end systems to experience EQ2 in all of its glory. Even now... this is still the case... players with even the best gaming systems still cannot take advantage of the full settings (primarily shadows) without rediculus frame rate drops. This is because the makers of the engine messed up big time not considering the future going towards multicore processing rather than one faster and faster core.

Once and for all are you going to do anything about this so that people who are running SLI and core i7's can actually get 60 fps with max settings including all shadows on?Also: You disabled shader 3.0 even though it was partially implimented. Why not reimpliment the unfinished product so that players can decide wether or not they want it on even if it does look really bad in certain areas.Shadows can make even the most basic textures in games look like gold. It truly is an opportunity to modernize the engine so that EQ2 can finally do what the original designers intended: to scale up graphically for the future.

Cinnimon your post is REALLY hard to read with the tiny writing and multiple colors. Might I suggest highlighting the whole thing, and click the little white eraser looking icon on the bottom row of your edit window.

Lots of good stuff here

One of the things that makes this a world to live in and not just another hack and slash is the housing and customization features of our avatars.

I am still wondering if we will ever get the ability to tilt items with the editing tool in game?

"Do you want to play everquest 2, or the Sims? Seriously, bad ideas are bad."

@Poldara There's no need to belittle other peoples' ideas like that. Seems to me like such comments are characteristic of what a Troll would do. You're not a troll, so there's no need to stoop to that level.

@Stardrama I think you have some good ideas. My Main is a carpenter, and as a carpenter, you get to thinking about how things would look in your house and guild hall.

I too have been thinking that with every house from the Newbie housing in Qeynos and Freeport, to the richest prestige housing offered, one should have the option to switch out patterns for the floor, walls, and cielings.

With Qeynos and Freeport housing, the tool to switch out the textures tends to double gouge you though: First you have to pay for the pattern, whether you use it or not, then you have to pay a price to apply the pattern, these I can do without.

With this tool, I think a good idea would be to have the option to load tiles into it to be applied to floors, cielings, or walls. So if you want a red marble floor for your Sathirian throne room, now you can click on the floor, load the tile you want, and hit apply, and watch it lay the texture out and not have to worry about placing each tile exactly edge-to-edge, and without that flicker affect when you accidentally overlap tiles.

Speaking of tiles, what really sucks about tiles and other building block type objects are that each one placed takes up another slot space in your house. Books are not counted as taking up slot space, so why should building materials be counted as used slot spaces. If you want to make a new floor like I did, you should be able to without fear of consuming slot spaces. In fact, when you make a new floor, you should gain more slot spaces.

As far as moving objects around, yes one should be able to rotate the object on any angle of any plain of any axis. There should be a built-in layout editor that allows one to see a map of the house and place objects as if you are placing 2d objects on a 2d map. The map should allow one to see the furniture layouts from a top view, front view, back view, and side views. You should be able to do smart tiling from this map, Highlight individual tiles for moving elsewhere or to send it to the moving crate. Also, you should have the option to resize any object to your specifications without size limits. Objects should be groupable for easier moving and resizing. Object groups should be nameable for ease of identification. This built in layout editor would be a great way to replace the current layout editor, as it'd have the same great features, plus more, all built into the game, without the need to switch between the game and the .net interface offered.

More than likley it is simply an announcement about the rollout plans for EQ2 in regards to PSS1 and the servicing changes for those based in Europe. They simply don't have the resources to do much in this game anymore.

That being said, my one questions would be at what level they see the game topping out? Is it 92? 94? 100? etc... Rumor is that they are constrained regarding the ability to make mobs above level 100, which means that if we advance much more then the mobs are going to have to challenging in ways other than level.

Hello and thankyou for doing this.  I played eqoa when it first came out and on and off EQ2 over the years.  I just had a few questions for the future of EQ2.

1.    Is there ever going to be an EQ or EQOA Next for ps3 or computer,  or should I be investing the next few years of my time and money into EQ2?

2.    When I returned to EQ2 these last two months I got the feeling that you guys are investing heavily into EQ2 at SOE is this a sign that the population is strong and its gonna be that way for long time to come?

3.    In regaurds to Dungeon Finder, is there any plans to perfect this system and have it work flawlessly anytime in the near future?   It was one of my favorite features to find when I returned, but I would sometimes find myself wasting over an hour trying to que up and get sent to a proper dungeon, I'm hoping to hear your words on the future of Dungeon Finder.

These were my top three questions, the third one is probably my most important short term question, other two are my long term ones.  Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.

P.S. I see Dungeon maker is getting an upgrade for lower levels too, are we able to level with higher lvl players now?  Is that what the talk was on that and are people going to be able to run regular dungeons now with higher level players like 90s and 80s together while being just as effective together as if it was a 90 party?

I did find a quest in maybe what you mean in Weathered Lands, where you have to take 3 different NPC's around the zone killing with them or you don't get update if they don't hit it.

Items in houses can be moved back and forth and turned around horizontally and made smaller or bigger.  Can we add the ability to turn them vertically as well, please.

I was hoping when Dungeon Maker came out that player housing would also have tool in which we could turn items with but...got nothing.

What are the plans to have enough content that is useable and relevant to keep players busy until December?

We have lots of raid content in DoV, however due to itemization only a tiny subset of that content is relevant to players.  What are the plans to make Drunder HM (currently harder than Skyshrine raids) relevant going forward?  Will it be itemized so that we have a reason to try to progress this content?

Skyshrine only provides us with 3 hours of content that can be run twice a week, what are the plans to provide sufficient content, challenge, and rewards to keep your raiding comunity busy for the next 7 months?

So with the latest GU, I have seen nothing but flying mounts being offered from the new content.  What ever happened to variety?  What happened to "No one type of mount is to be considered 'better' than any other type, they're just a different style"?  Seems to me that when you ONLY give out one type of mount with the best stats possible, they become "better" mounts than any other type.  At least in the first half of velious you gave us a couple ground mounts as well as flying mounts.   I absolutely hate using flying mounts and will only use ground mounts unless I NEED to fly.  I hope this doesn't continue in the future.

Look at the class sections ! Many of them are dead =

This is not result of good work on classes !!! This is the indifference of developers and... mistrust. players SMILEY

Start doing! something... something else. more personalized to subclasses !

Explore this game with all its aspects - solo (and solo-pvp), group (and group pvp/Bg), raid

In a raid need all (or almost all) classes, but they are necessary in groups?

When is the next level cap increase? When is the next AA cap increase? Will guilds see a level cap increase beyond 90?

What will be done to make tradeskillers Mastercrafted recipes relevant again, now that Legendary armor is the new Treasured armor?

Will we be able to fly/leap/glide in Qeynos? What is happening to the Qeynos villages and their associated quests?

Are the older issues from the original itemization update (GU61 - August 2011) being addressed? There are several threads in the Items & Equipment forums detailing these issues, with item links. Will the reitemized Kunark mage armor (not accessories--primary armor pieces) ever be changed to be All Mages instead of Warlock/Wizard only?

Are the tradeskill apprentice quest rewards for level 90-92 crafters being looked into? Currently these quests are still granting Tier 9 common/rare harvest rewards instead of Tier 10, despite the fact that T10 harvests now exist.

That's all for now....

Here's some more:

Will the next expansion be "features" based or content based? Will the next expansion be this year or will there only be another 1-2 Game Updates instead?

Whenever DoV is officially played out, can we PLEASE get an original expansion *not* based on EverQuest lands? I have played EQ (and still do) since 1998 but I'm tired of seeing EQ in my EQ2 now and want to see something purely original to EQ2 (like Mara was).

Will Meatbeast ever return to BL's. I miss him desperately!

**

O Bovoch, cow of strange designYour supple leather hide remains divineWith spots of black in the tens or moreLifted high on legs, larger rear than fore

Bluish eyes full of watery truthSharp of mind, but soft of toothWhich lay in herbivorous rows, alasSuitable only for eating grass

Your towering height, the warmth of your heart Are missed each day we're kept apart The others cannot understand the joy I feel When a bovoch scratches after a full-bellied meal

Can you attend me? Protect me? Ward me? Please?Fight off my enemies with bovine ease? How can you call me the lord of each beast If I am never allowed to tame the Meatbeast?

Ok folks I hope this game last another 5 years or more. Best MMO ever except EQ what is still around.

What I would like to see in game. Is to finally tell us to where the dwarfs of kaladim went? Or the retaking of kaladim. You have to love those smelly Dwarfs I dont care what smokejumper thinks about they are better than the trolls lol.

I would love to see more work done with the In game house editor. you guys said that might happen sometime in the future?

What about house painting that look like the art from the retail box versions of pass expansions?

What about bigger house expanders or make it where more house expanders can stack?

Thank you

I would like to know about the itemization for the messed up GU61 items? Smokejumper promised us in writing that these would be done with gu63. ( on the now defunct eq2x forums).

Alot of the questions here, especially to do with content, itemization are the questions id like answered too.But i would like to see more than 3 questions answered, as you can see there is ALOT of questions, so could you please answer as many questions as you can, i know you would only have a certain amount of time but the more answers the community gets the happier they will be.

Please dont answer all the tradeskill/housing questions and leave out questions regarding content/itemization fixes as seems to be the case on the forums.

I guess my only other question would be is Where have you been windstalker? You made a thread stating you would be coming on the forums, posting and keeping in touch with the community but there has been no sign of you coming up to 3 months now.
