![]() THE DRAGON'S BREATH IS LOCATED ON THE FREEPORT SERVER, SOUTH QEYNOS DOCK IT IS ALSO LISTED ON THE HOUSING LEADERBOARDS UNDER MEDIUM HOMES. PLEASE COME BY AND TAKE A RIDE!
THE LAST NEWS Galldora had heard regarding her friend Apheetia, the daring (foolish) little halfling had gone off with a gang of Santa Glug gigglegibbers -- after declaring she had discovered a tear through the fabric of the world and possibly "a portal" to other, distant lands. In the past few weeks, Galldora frequently found herself worrying about Apheetia's whereabouts. Then. yesterday. a postcard arrived. This is what it said: "Galldora, I've found an old, crashed skyblade and commissioned a very friendly crew of troll pirates to renovate it." (She's hired a crew of trolls who are also pirates? Oh my... Galldora barely had time for sufficient fretting about her arranged meet-up with this purported crew of trolls, because Apheetia's new skyblade party boat arrived the very next morning -- this morning, actually, only hours ago. After taking delivery of, and paying a shockingly large sum for the skiff, Galldora snapped a few screenshots that she wants to share with you. ![]() THE DRAGON'S BREATH SKYSKIFF CASINO AND LOUNGE pulled into the South Qeynos skyblade dock at dawn this morning, just as the sun was pinking up the sky. For nearly half an hour before it reached the dock, the gaily lit party palace could be seen -- and its music heard -- by those on shore. The approach of the flying machine with the bird-of-prey-like appearance created quite a stir -- enough so that Galldora, who certainly hadn't expected the skiff for at least another couple of days, caught on the wind as she sipped her morning cup of jum,' the excited chatter of the gathering crowd -- and she dashed out the door and made haste to join the others, for she knew with instant certainty that Apheetia's ship had arrived. ![]() When you board The Dragon's Breath, you land facing a set of double doors that lead into the casino proper, where the matre d' greets you and shows you to your table. ![]() Looking along the starboard side of the ship toward the bow, we see a portion of one of the two stairways made of rare pink glass and fine gold, which lead to a deck with pool tables and comfortable seating in the ship's stern. A dazzling display of Bristlebanesque lighting fixtures festoons the skiff along both sides and ensures it is visible in the night sky for miles, while vast expanses of colorful stained glass flooring sparkle with reflections from the thousands of individual bulbs that make up the array. ![]() Here is a portion of the inside of the central structure, with one of the ship's two bars, this one tended by twin Coldain dwarf barkeeps, partly visible on the far right. A carpeted ramp leads to the second floor, and doors on either side of the ramp provide access to the restrooms. ![]() Meet Dizzydeets, the ship's cook. A head's up for the faint of heart -- Dizzy's pet "scare" crow, Blackfang, has been known on occasion to let his inner zombie out. ![]() Here is the main casino floor and bar, which is dominated by a large depiction of a dragon exhaling a plume of flames down onto the crowd. On chilly nights, the flames can be turned high to warm the crowd, while a "coolflames" option is available for warm summer evenings. ![]() Between the main bar and the bow are the gaming tables. Although the majority of the crew are trolls, several Djinn are employed at the casino's tables and in a variety of other key positions. ![]() Looking forward from the deck in the skiff's stern, we see the graceful slope of the roof on the main structure. ![]() The rear deck features two pool tables and comfortable seating, including a central conversation area with overstuffed sofas and chairs. Dozens of brightly colored paper lanterns sway overhead in the breeze. ![]() The ladies' room is plain but serviceable, and it appears the facilities are well-maintained. ![]() There were a few unexpected guests using the restroom, however, including this green beetle who came down to greet Galldora, landing on her shoulder while she was engaged in testing the toilet's water pressure. ![]() Another patron of the ladies room reported finding a colorful "cave spider" in one corner. The spider's examine is included in the screenie, as Galldora is still attempting to track down its' origins. The examine looks very much like those of the creatures obtainable in Norratihian pet stores, but so far she has not located a store that offers cave spiders for sale. If anyone is familiar with the cave spider, could you please post some info about where these spiders are obtained? ![]() A very large red and black beetle that resembles an overgrown ladybug was engaged in taking a leisurely bath in the sink, but politely darted out of sight when a guest approached to wash her hands. ![]() An attempt was made to obtain a shot or two of the inside of the mens room, but it was occupied by someone who had turned the lights out and did not seem inclined to give access to the camera crew. ![]() As this sign near the bar indicates, a fortuneteller offers her services to parties who are interested in learning what their future holds. Any who dare to learn the secrets revealed in the crystal ball of the Mystic Margreth are advised to ascend the ramp and speak with the Djinn master. ![]() The Djinn master who guards the door outside the suite of the Mystic Margreth requires that any and all who seek her advice first cross his palm with a hefty sum of gold. ![]() The Mystic Margreth and her cobra Khisses are available for drop-in visits during the evening hours and at other times by special appointment. Apheetia hopes you will visit The Dragon's Breath soon, and perhaps if you are so inclined, you will treat yourself to the services of the all-knowing Margreth.

![]() Love it! The bar was great and the dragon's breath was just genius. I loved your colors and what you did with the lights to trim the skiff. Looks beautiful!

![]() Marnus and Afista, thanks for the lovely compliments! Synsia wrote:
LOL! Oh, Synsia, I must respond to your comment, because I'd pretty much come around to the same opinion myself. With no inside, just a platform with spinning fans underfoot, a rear deck you can't access until you build your own stairs and a shape that makes covering the floors pretty challenging, the skiff is an absolute booger to decorate. Over the years since they were introduced I've started on several ideas only to pick all the pieces up again. I've also searched far and wide for decorated skiffs, but I haven't really found that many. If you hear of a decorated skiff that is open to the public, I'm always looking for skiffs to visit.

![]() I love it it's so colourful and happy (apart from the miserable priat troll thingy )lol you have done a splendid job on something I thought impossible to decorate. I once saw a skiff decorated before but they uses the surrounding sky area to build a land mass with a mountain and a jetty to get on the skiff but made the skiff in to a normal boat. So well done you clever bunni you . Happy Decorating Kianne xxx

![]() Nicely done, skiffs are a pain to decorate (as me and a guildie found out with my art gallery) but with a great idea there's a lot of potential for the space! |

![]() Gorgeous work. I love the brightness and color and the fancy lights. Love all your gaming goodness. Where is the cute lil ladybug from? I'm assuming its probably a collection I missed somewhere. |

Thanks, Jexi! That little ladybug, who gets HUGE (the bug in the bathroom sink is as small as she gets,) is called the "lucky teralid plushie." As you suspected, she's from a collection, specifically the Withered Lands Insect Collection. Cyliena, I checked out the screenies of your skiff art gallery, and it's just beautiful. Very nicely done! Handy that you have those links in your sig.

I had troubles finding that one when I wanted to duplicate on Storms my Hauted House from the Test_Copy contest. It's found on the neriak house pets merchant (Indigo Hollow part, where the newbie house is iirc. not sure) |

THANK YOU! I thought she looked like a pet store spider. I must get one of my characters to go visit the Neriak pet merchant and see if they have any of those lovely little spiders in stock. Nefariaa@Antonia Bayle wrote:
Thanks, Nefaria! Well, the little green jewel beetle seems harmless enough and only stayed on Galldora's shoulder ever so briefly before flying back to the wall. If that cave spider's in the corner, though, I think I'd shoo her out the door first.
