My Original problem, was when i was chronoing, and i reforged an item, i thought reforging broke all my stats. I had forgotten that i was chronoed down a few levels. But then that just exposed an even more widespread problem.

When chronoing or mentoring, all reforged stats, are no added to your stats, at all.  This could be intentional, but it hurts the value of the AoD expansion a lot. And ruins the fun of chronoing down and beating lowbie dungeons you may have missed.

The problem: Any reforged stats, may they be the source or end result stats, will not add up, when you chrono or mentor.

If you have a ring with 30ish damage per second and you roughly have into 15% multiattack, you'll get neither the damage per second or the multiattack.

At 90, my multiattack is about 343-350 depending on if i'm alone or boxing. If i chrono down to 85, just down 5 levels, my multiattack drops drastically down to 129!

That's about 37.5% of my original multiattack! WHOA! < 6% mentor = >60% reduction in multiattack. That's not even including the remnants of DPS that was left over from reforging, that's just insult to injury.

These pictures were made prior to me hitting 90, which I did during this xp bonus weekend. But you can clearly see from these somewhat outdated pictures, that the multiattack and other stats from reforged items, clearly do not add on. When chronoed. (I wasn't aware i was chronoed when i took these.)

Stats that were not included in the reforging process, remain functional and intact. Anyone argueing this was intended so reforged 90s can't dominate lowbie areas even more. Your argement is invalid, as this also affects level 60s, that reforged and chrono to 55, (confirmed), any reforged stats there, also fail to work through reforging and mentoring.

Here you can see my stats without any equipment on.

Here you can see an item that has natural you will notice the MA increasing.

These next two images are items reforged to multiattack, notice the MA does not increase.

EDIT:

I also noticed stats originally in the reforged items such as DPS, isn't added either.

Restoring and reforging does not fix this. Just paid 3p to test it.

I've bug reported it, but i'm also mentioning this here, this needs a lot more attention, and a single bug report, usually isn't enough to get something fixed. But if this is brought to the attention of the developers, i think we could be seeing a quick fix.

And devs, if this is a known issue, and you guys are infact working on it, or already have it solved on test, spend 10 seconds and let us know, and it'll save you from a this turning into an even bigger problem. (think back to the accidently MA reforging nerf on test, and how that exploded.)

This is still a major problem.

When i chrono from 90 down to 80, my multiattack goes from 500, down to 167, and my DPS mod, (the source of my reforged stats, some is left over) goes from 107.2 down to 55.4

Like i said this is a massive problem for people that chrono/mentor down regularly. It will litterally cut your DPS by 70% or more, just by dropping 10 levels.

if ability mod still works, then there's no way this is intentional.

My guess, is they didn't think very far ahead with the scaling. It probably just doesn't have a way of calculating new reforged stats when you reforge.

A quick fix, would be to move all reforged stats into a new variable, and then apply the scaling to the variable as a whole, before applying it to your normal stats. It wont show it scaled correctly while mentoring on the individual armor/jewelry pieces, but it will however, add to your stat window properly.

This also breaks when I am on my Illusionist, I'm reforging as many Spell Weapon stats as possible in to Multi Attack chance. I am on 270% at 90, but at 85 I go down to 85. This is quite a problem!

Hello! These stats still remove themselves completely when mentoring regardless of difference in levels.

Indeed. But probably the worst thing is that you don't just lose the reforged stat, you lose the source stat as well.

Must be a bug.

I knew I should have been mopping up Throne of New Tunaria faster on my 2-box runs...now I know the reason!

Is it a) stats not being recognized in gameplay situations, or b)stats not being displayed properly?

Either way its still an issue =p, but in my limited testing of it, chrono'ed and displaying a significantly lower amount of MA than I should have, my autoattack was multi'ing for more hits than my displayed rating should have allowed(limited sampling, so I could be wrong).  I encourage all posters to chrono to a level where the displayed MA is ~100 lower than actually worn, and count how many multi attacks go off in the combat log.

No, it's definitely broken mechanically, not just the UI display.  It's really easy to tell with cast speed; I noticed this the other day when I chronomentored down from 92 to 90 to run some of the TSO scaling instances.  My cast speed dropped from around 120% to 60%, because I had reforged some of the garbage spell autoattack stats to cast speed in order to free up some other equipment slots, and it was incredibly obvious.

I went ahead and tested, and can confirm it's not just the displayed result.

My idea still stands, calculate all refoged stats seperately with their own scale multiplier, and then apply them to your stats. They won't display right on the items, but your reforged stats will display properly in your stats on the right half your UI, and should calculate against mobs propperly.

This is such a huge gamebreaker.. i don't know how SOE let this through.. I find myself avoiding instances where i would need to chrono..  What's the point in chronoing to 60 to do a lowbie dungeon if you're going to get nerfed to oblivion.

Level 92:

Level 90:

The only thing I am doing is auto attack. The only difference is levels. Same buffs. Ungrouped. Heroic training dummy.

I'd like for a developer to confirm they are aware of the problem.

I think the reason they haven't stepped in and said "we're on it" is because they believe if they ignore the thread, they are less obligated to fix it in a timely manner.

Especially with such a major problem such as this.
