 Ok so I am just coming back to EQ2 after a while so that i can play with some friends.  Go to the site. change my CC info (they had an expired one) Payed for one month recurring gold membership.  On the site it says "Active" YAY! ok so i log into the game client (After downloading and patching it), it says your account has been banned. Lovely. I call customer support on a friday and i am helped by a great CS. She reinstates the account and gets it all going for me.  I am able to log in. SWEET! Meet my friends, make my coercer on their server, get to like level 12.  Then i log for dinner. When i came back it was after CS call center closed for the weekend.  THE WEEKEND! You know, when most people PLAY video games (well at least those who work full time and have obligations/kids). Anyway, I am getting a "Your account needs a subscription, click here to start the process. So i click it, sign in and YUP still says Im active.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the game in full version not streaming, still no luck. I went to the website to start a ticket and i get a logon screen that says i am logged in and please log out when done using secure sites. but no way to actually submit anything, or fill a form out.  Im getting really frustrated as I cleared my whole weekend to spend it with friends who are in another state. how do i fix this?

Breakdown: SOE says i paid and am active. EQ2 login says i need a subscription. I have no phone number to call and the website wont let me actually DO anything to submit a help call. I was able to log into an temporary account i made and make basic chars and stuff.

none of this makes sense.  (i believe you, its just odd.)  here's why:  you don't need a sub to actually play.  you can log in for free.  as a level 12 character, you dont really need a subscription but you would want silver.  (you are former subscriber so should have auto silver.)  having a sub at the low levels does make it MUCH better but it is not a necessity like it is when you get max level.  (you can stay unsubbed at max level but all the "you can'ts" will add up as you buy unlockers.)  if there's something messed up with your account, you should still be able to play with your friends. 

are you using the current launcher?  if not, then you need to get it.

I can log in with a different account, but my gold status account won't let me, just says I need to set up a subscription. Which, like you said, is weird because you can play free.

same here....just bought 2 expansions and relogged and havent been able to get in for 4 hours.  Very unhappy cause I just spent $50

Yeah,same thing for me, i just bought gold membership on april 19th, and played fine for a day, now when i log back into the game my account has gone back to silver, and when i try opening a ticket, it says one is allready excisting, so i cant make a new one... and no open chat support either.

I am having the same issue. I logged in this morning and updated everything. I hadn't played this account in awhile, so I purchased AoD, set up my recurring membership. It looked like things were going great. I logged in through profit and played for about an hour. I logged out to switch to a character on a different server and it now says I need a subscription.

Same thing here. I bought AoD for 2 of my accounts and they can no longer login.

The launchpad tell me i need a subscription, if i skip the lauchpad by running everquest2.exe does it tell me my login/password is wrong. Both accounts show as active when i look at the subscribsion info on eq2players.com

Having the same problem. Reupped my subscription on the 10th and worked fine but then bought AoD and now can't log in says I ned to set up a subscription. Tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling with the new launcher but no luck. Oppened a ticket with a screen shot but haven't herd anything.

Has any progress been made on this?  My youngest sons account has the same issue.  Gold Sub renewed via soe game card a few days ago and now only has silver access.

Attempts which have failed due to a failure in the submitting process.

In game petition.  Brings up website, fill in petition and it spins during the submission process and goes no further.

Website petition.  One would think it would work as well given its the same page but in an external browser but in windows 7 IE 8 with compatibility mode enabled and it fails to allow the drop down boxs to work.

Forum post under affected account.  No post or reply functionality

Chat, reports its closed.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Did this "problem" affect platinum accounts this weekend also?  Husband has a platinum account, which worked fine on Thursday.  Friday evening(Mountain time)he logged in on his main toon and discovered all his armour/appearance items gone, window pops up saying "go to gold...", several bags locked...money was still there so no hack suspected.

He's been trying since Friday evening through tickets to get any CSR to tell him exactly what's wrong, and 2 of them told him his current credit card wasn't listed as a current payment option-even though he logged into the website and it is there, available as a payment option.  He's not sure when his renewal date was, as he's been told that particular subscription expired in February(hello, how could he keep playing as a Platinum member until mid-June if it was expired...lol), another one told him it was another time....  He also got asked for a confirmation of his email address(understandable) and I am not sure what happened with that but the CSR also asked him to send several digits out of his current credit card number(which seems very odd to me, unsecured over email).  He did not send the entire credit card number, just specific ones.  Is this common?

Anyway, I thought I would ask here if Platinum accounts have had recent trouble also, and if this is related to the problems in this post.  If needed, I can have my husband PM someone higher up in the Accounts department the ticket numbers he's been given.  Crossing my fingers here that this account doesn't suddenly have problems as well(gold sub here), as he pays for that with the same credit card.  *sigh*

Ello!

I have read through this post and saw that it was made in april. Yet, I have tried to log into the game again yesterday and I have the same problem. The main account won't log in and says I need a subscription but the second account works fine, but it doesn't have AoD and no subscription plan on it.

Is it still a problem or am I missing something here?

Pinocc, I'd recommend submitting a support ticket. If you've already done this, then please pm me your ticket reference number so i can further assist you

For me, my problems started with this issue. 

So far, CS has helped me a great deal getting my gold membership account up and running again, although temporarily. It has now happened for the 3rd time that I log in and see that my gold membership has vanished.

About 7pm Wednesday night on July 25th 2012 all my accounts have suddenly become bronze. I just resubscribed the other night for my gold using the discount web order where its now 90 bucks a year as well and that recipet is in my email box.  My little 2 silvers as well which are hardly used are bronze as well there is no way to log in my gold account since all require race packs and class unlockers to use not to mention the extra character slots. There is no new email in my mail box as well about any unknown changes to my gaming status with soe either.

Prior to 7pm I logged in and did all as normal when to change characters as stated above and all had a lock symbol around them and now the game will NOT run.
