![]() This has happened to me after every game update since moving to the mid east (never happened in the US). 1) Due to bandwidth issues I cannot run the streaming client. A full download takes me 14-18 hours, so you can see where this gets old after several downloads. 2) I had the same problem many others had with the full download client (from these support forums) still forcing me to stream (which is unplayable). 3) I went to the normal EQ2 site and downloaded the newest streaming client, which now includes a check box for download full assets. i checked it, and let it download for 18 hours. It worked fine until the game went down for the Splitpaw update this morning. 4) When i run the launcher (not the exe file, the actual launcher) it shows everything is downloaded. Validate assets shows the same, everything is good. But when it gets to the Freeport screen it says the client does not match the server. I am not running profit, EQ2maps, or any other 3rd party program as this is a brand new fresh download. 5) I have provided the MSINFO and DXDIAG files to tech support after each prior incident and have yet to receive an answer as to what causes this. 6) In the past Ive had to download both versions of the game and switch back and forth. After downloading the full asset Id install the streaming. I would then run the streaming and when the box appeared telling me that the full download was installed Id click 'yes' to change, but instead of restarting EQ I would just hit play and all would work fine. But if I tried to run either launcher straight it gave me the same error... |

![]() Redownloaded the entire game again, full asset version... Worked fine on US servers... Too bad I play on Splitpaw I switched to EU English and it patched 1400mg, went back to the freeport screen, and 'client does not match' Really? I tried the screaming client, it seems to launch fine, but then says login servers are busy... its said that for the last 15 hours. Really? sigh.... |

![]() If it's any consolation, you're not the only one with this problem. If I play on Crushbone, it's all fine. Playing on Splitpaw is another issue entirely. It keeps switching to streaming and that little dragon just keeps at it. Even if you walk up and down between the same two places, it downloads each way every time. Login servers are often not working properly. For most of yesterday half my guild couldn't log in. What was really weird is that some people could log in easily with one account, and log between characters in the normal way, but couldn't log in at all with the other account, unless they went to an American server. |

![]() Ouch, in a way Im glad its not only me, but also hate to see others stuck like this. My wife and I both have this problem. We were able to randomly swap files between a full download and screaming download and eventually get it to work with the everquest2.exe. But if we run either patcher we cant play, and we cant zone into the new zone |
