Freeport is overpopulated, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we don't crash repeatedly until the newness of Skyshrine dies down and people return to their normal amount of play time.

Normally all they do is bring the server back up, everybody logs back in, and boom down it goes again to the same reason.

This is pathetic. Freeport is unplayable because of the crowding and they can't even keep the server running. There were too many people there before the merge. They need to split the server to get the population down to rational levels.

They need to spread the load on some of the less populated servers that is for sure.  Customer service is pityful, nothing about the server being down, not even we know Freeport and Naagafen is down and we are working on it comment.  bleh /fail

I agree, I pay for gold subscription as well.  Am I just a glutton for punishment.  I don't care what model you use (Free to play your way/ monthly sub) it's customer service that will make this game drop off.  When we as paying customers see nothing about a server being down (no acknowledgement or anything) we take it as a lack of concern.  Sony needs some of those people that come in and take over, like Resturant impossible or Tabitha takes over or Hotel impossible so they can learn how to treat paying customers.

Haha ya that is what is needed.  Clean CS house... I wonder if this is just a SOE thing or an entire sony thing.   Sony is losing money hand over fist...Hmmm seems like a corporate issue...

Me too.  The only reason I'm still on Freeport is because transferring 9 characters would cost me too much money.

Yup way too expensive to transfer 9-12 toons.  But this is ridiculous, not a peep from SOE.   Nothing on twitter/facebook/website/ or forum.  Do I need to open a trouble ticket to get  some kind of info?

At the very least, I want SOE to acknowledge that there's a problem.  Just ignoring us while the server is down isn't acceptable when I'm paying them $15/mo.

Here's a thought: take all of us from The Bazaar who NEVER wanted to play on the Freeport server in the first place and give us free rides to other servers. I played Freeport when EQ2X came out and dropped it like a live grenade. Worst crowding and behavior I had seen anywhere. Now I'm stuck their against my will. Get me out of here!

/em passes out cheese to go with all the whine. When the servers went down, I took our seven 3-1/2 week old puppies outside for some fresh air and sunshine.  I completely forgot about EQ2 for a little while.#reallife

I personally don't consider demanding proper customer service as a whine.  You pay money and expect some level of customer service for those goods and services.

I like the Freeport server vs The_Bazaar server, on Freeport there is people to actually group with, and ya games to over crowded in allot of zones they really need to increase re-spawn timers in all tiers and zones becoming a pain where I almost wanna log out and come back at 3am when everyone is sleeping to xp, another nice thing about Freeport vs The_Bazaar server is this is the first time we ever had new server hardware, The_Bazaar server was the mother of all lag

Five more minutes and we'll have been down an hour.  And still not a word from SOE, so we don't know if they know or care.

We need to upgrade with time ... Time for Kerrans to keep the servers up.  I blame the Kerrans now!
