![]() Welcome to my first published house! Madame Epione's House of Voodoo is located in Ellesmere Swamp. Home to Madame Epione, Queen of Voodoo, who is thought to have lived here for over 400 years! Can you hear the lowland frogs croaking? And, what was that?!? A werewolf howling in the distance? Feel free to relax on the porch swing or in one of the rocking chairs on the porch. Madame Epione has placed powerful amulets of bones and skulls near her home to ward off evil. You are safe here. Step inside to Madame Epione's crafting alters and storefront. The shelves are neatly supplied with powerful potions, amulets, gris-gris, and spells. For adventurers with more sinister intentions, you will find blood rituals, hexes for revenge, and death spells. Madame Epione cautions against cavalier use of these spells. Evil begets evil. For those looking for love, luck, or protection, you will find gris-gris, tokens, and spells for your purposes as well. Madame Epione is also skilled in the art of divination including palmistry, taromancy, and necromancy. Travelers seeking fortune telling should exercise caution; the future holds some secrets that we are not intended to know. A cozy parlour.... Kitchen with seating for one. Living in the bayou allows Madame Epione to enjoy the freshest seafood. Looks like she is preparing the catch of the day. Outside, Madame Epione tends carefully to her moonlight garden which is home to many of the herbs and flowers needed for her spellwork. She is a master gardener; it is quite challenging to grow healthy plants in such a wet, sunless environment. Perhaps she puts magic to use in this garden? Through the fog, you see a small building.... A crypt with fresh offerings of candles, shells, and flowers. Madame Epione tends lovingly to this crypt of her mother, Luciana, and visits every day. Travelers who brave the trip to Madame Epione's pay tribute at Luciana's crypt in payment to Mme. Epione for her services. Being vampires, Luciana and Epione lived together in this home for over 200 years. During this time, Luciana taught Epione how to create powerful spells and amulets to control her thirst for blood so that her daughter would not be a slave to her murderous desire to feed. Epione also learned the art of fine cooking and learned to appreciate the aroma and flavor of foraged mushrooms, homegrown greens, and grilled fish. While foraging for mushrooms, Luciana disappeared. She is thought to have been the victim of a werewolf attack as her body was never recovered. In loving memory of her mother, Madame Epione built this crypt for her mother. It is believed that those who visit Luciana's crypt with good intentions will be blessed with good fortune and shown compassion throughout their lives. If you are in search of a rare spell or wish to ask for Luciana's blessing, you can visit Madame Epione's House of Voodoo on the Unrest server in South Qeynos (Freeblood Manor) under Epione. Please allow a couple of minutes for the house and swamp to load - if you start running about straight away, you're likely to get caught in Mme. Epione's basement which is a most unpleasant place. She shows no mercy to impatient travelers! Thank you for looking! Obviously, many of you may recognize your own work as I took a lot of inspiration from these boards. I am always amazed by the creativity here, and I really appreciate the ideas! |

![]() Thank you! I used vampiric mirrors to make them look like window panes. Only bad thing about this strategy is that it does up the item count. So, I used 4 vampiric mirrors for the windows in the front. Some of the windows on the side have six vampiric mirrors. |

![]() This is really awesome. You've captured the perfect atmosphere for the voodoo house. I'm in love with all of your detail throughout and totally envious at your ability to perfectly accessorize a place. Love the windows too. Great house!

![]() I went to visit and I just LOVE the creepy atmosphere. It feels like Madame Epione could knock on your shoulder every minute. Everything is just so well-thought and it's absolutely beautiful. Lighting-effects are most-pleasant for the eye. A big congrats on your first house! |

![]() Super cool! I love the back swamps New Orleans (non tourist) feel of the place. And I'm for sure going to have to "borrow" those fabulous windows. Great job! |

![]() Thank you so much for the lovely comments. I didn't post pictures of the bedroom or all of the little details, but I really enjoyed building this breakout home. I actually started creating it for the Nights of the Dead decorating contest, but it took so long, I didn't have it ready until Brew Day! Oh well....love browsing through all the homes and decorating ideas here! Thanks again for all the inspiration! |

![]() I've just visited and it's wonderful! You really captured the feeling of a house of voodoo in the backswamps. I love themed homes, and this one was certainly a treat! |
