![]() It will help some guilds, especially those who have peripheral turnover around a strong raid core. They won't spend NEARLY as much time having to gear up new recruits.

Don't be too quick here, the qeynos revamp will cost $40 that is the plan. Before anyone jump in and says "yeah, but that is only one paid expansion in 2012!" well the ONLY reason for that is because of timing. They have moved to every 9 months a paid expansion and on top of that have now eliminated a scheduled GU. Next year look for your $40 'expansion pack' to come in around May, then the following year they will rush February's expansion out and you can rest assured that it will not be delayed because another $40 expansion is planned for December of that year. By then "EQNext:My little Pony's revenge" will be ready to go, and EQ2 will officially be in maintenance mode.

They can't charge you for the Qeynos revamp. There would be no way for them to seperate old from new and I am sure they wouldn't lock people that didn't play out of an original game area just because THEY want to revamp it. Now....it might be a part of a paying expansion that Quenos is availiable to everybody free. |

You can cancel free accounts, you simply delete all the toons on that account then delete everything else in the account section ( i think on that part you can anyway). I have 2 accounts, my 2nd account will be getting the delete treatment once I get home. After I think about it some more I just might add my main account ( Silver Level ) to that deletion.

![]() My last hope is that they don't ruin it like they did with the freeport revamp. I loathe freeport now. |

Well, they changed freeport from an evil and gritty city to a vacation resort. So don't be suprised if they put blood baths and torture fields all around Qeynos |

Well I don't know, Freeport looks beautiful now, but there's nothing evil about it, it's just a big city without the nostalgic hamlets. Freeport needed the revamp there's no question about it, Qeynos DOES NOT need a big revamp like freeport got, it just needs the zones merged and the new quests added. The major problems with Freeport is the same problem with New Halas, the content designer just didn't do their job in terms of immersion, the NPCs repeat the same 2 or 3 lines over and over, nearly every npc stands around in one spot, there's not as many buildings as there was, everything that does exist seems to have a purpose which is unnecessary imo. The city just doesn't seem to have very much life, aside from the overlord coming out every hour to kill someone not much happens. |
