what are we supposed to do with the fluff that comes in the mail? Sorry I don't want fluff that I have to actually level all my characters to use since there is nothing of use for the characters that take the poll.

I can level my necro now and put a robe on her (yes when hades freezes over) (2 robes even)

I really cant say 'thank you' and mean it, but thanks I guess.

I log on to Test because of tells I got to come over and was actually upset to the point I said things that were not very nice and I am sorry I was so bitter

But really, its like being given a lottery ticket with 'winning numbers' and cash it in for matching 2 numbers

Maybe I will get a mana transmuting all that stuff?

Destroy it? Vendor it? Give it to another person? SMILEY

I had no idea what you were talking about until I logged in. Cute poll and I'm assuming the rewards were just some temporary things they slapped in there. I can't really imagine them throwing around pure primal velium shards, fabled chest/weapons and 20p at everyone on live.

I am suspecting its an incentive to level our characters so were of some use for testing

Aye, that could be. If so, none of my normal Test chars can even get the poll as they're all 20s-30. Had to login to Test Copy finally to figure it out.

I thought it was a cute poll too SMILEY  It looks like the rewards are fairly random, both of my accounts got a slightly different assortment of items.  Not really anything I could use, but stuff can always be sold or muted, if not grown into on alts.  It was a nice thought anyways, thanks!

I do not have any 50 toons on test yet but I have been reading what everyone has posted. I think the polls are a neat idea. I would think the rewards were random to see if the poll was working correctly. Randomness is kinda fun surprise too.

The only thing I would mention is a wider variety in rewards. Not just all for adventure classes. Allow something for tradeskillers and some exclusive house items too SMILEY

Ok this is educated guesswork (until a red name says otherwise)... but I believe this is a test poll set up with some random loot simply to test the process. Not necessarily indicative of what they'd do on real polls. But regardless, our reactions to the choice of rewards can, and should, be part of the feedback we give.

I already put some suggestions on this here in the mail feedback thread: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...=514459#5712057

But in short, I agree with your sentiment Kuulei and had a negative reaction myself to being given 5 useless items. The rewards need to be good for everyone, fair and balanced. I suggested some degree of smart loot for your adventuring class, and include tradeskillers/decorators equally. I hadn't thought about level though, so yeah, that too.

There is also a need not to skew the results by encouraging one demographic of the population to do the poll, whilst another demographic don't bother because they know there's nothing in it for them. That's probably why there's a random element involved. Otherwise you can imagine the scenario:

Guildie1: what's the reward for this new poll?Guildie2: [links item in guild chat]Guildie1: oh ok, thanks. I won't bother doing that one then.

I was thrilled with the poll and it's cute questions and  cool loot.  Gives me a  reason to push a little more on levels  some of my other toons.  This was a very nice surprise and I know lots of people found it fun and are very happy with the chance to get some cool loot we might not be able to get otherwiseSMILEY)

THANKS!!

It was great to see something like this poll that might be a useful thing for the game in the future. And to have those random items as a reward, status and plat as well, it really was fun to log in all my alts and see what I would get.

I hope to see more polls in the future. I'm glad Test got to see the trial run before it hit Live.

So maybe for those with one single alt on Test, a hint for you - go level up an(other) alt - test another class, gain new insight in the game.  Maybe then you wouldn't view these rewards as "useless" and "total garbage."

Personally, I liked it.  I liked getting a nice chest peice that I can use later on.  My ranger and beast are both getting close to 90 so they will enjoy them.  The other loot will get used it is just a matter of time though it would have been nice to have the master scroll for the toon that did the poll, but it was nice. SMILEY  So I say Thanks SMILEY

I sent out a couple of bugs regarding this poll as I think it should hand a reward of the archetype of the player. I know I gained 3 healer masters I don't need and I'll list them to pass them around or put on the broker. My guess is the same as Sor: it was probably random rewards (and I suppose we shouldn't get all the goodies listed but a choice on the final version).

I loved the concept of sending a poll by mail that hands out goodies to the players, more incentive to actually take the poll. You may want to send it to 50+ adventurers AND crafters though, depending on the topic of the poll.

I can see why people got hung up on the reward part of the poll.  To me this was just an added bonus.  They could have easily said, thank you for 10 seconds of your time.

Agreed, I thought since the poll was silly the loot was just random stuff to be nice too hehe

Well, let me apologize for the confusion - this was just a silly test of the new poll system, and wasn't intended to actually go live even to test in this form.  A random treasure table had been hooked up just to test the system.  No harm done I hope, and I hope you enjoyed the unexpected gifts; but a more serious poll (with no rewards) is the only thing that will be making it to live servers.

Thank you, however, for helping test the feature, albeit unexpectedly! Apparently, it's working.  Yay! SMILEY
