Elements of War

Decorin Bonewing should now drop treasure each time he is killed in both the normal and the challenge versions.

What does this mean?  Does this mean instead of him dropping one chest at the end of the entire encounter he drops a chest every time you kill him?  I.E kill him once, he splits into 2, kill one, that splits into 2, kill those 2...rinse repeat for the other guy up..does this update mean that every time he is killed (so 7 kills) he drops a chest?  If this is the case this isn't happening - did the zone twice today with guildies and only 1 chest.  It does seem like it would be a bit much to get loot 7 times off one encounter effectively, but if its SOE's decision to try and gear folks out faster it wouldn't surprise me either.

Slightly confusing that unintentionally misleads.

The use of Elemental detonation and other items that proc on death cause a double spawn to occur there. If the final mob double spawns and you kill them both you will get 2 chests. Before it only had a chance to drop 2 chests (iirc) there was a post about it on the forums and a red name stated that it was working as intended that the fight was difficult enough to warrant 2 chests in this case, but I am pretty sure it was only a chance at 2 chests originally this is wht was likely made a guarateed 2 chests.

I thought it was to fix the "he sometimes doesn't drop a chest when a pet kills him" thing that was around for a bit.

Entirely possible, and could oh so easily be cleared up in the AM. We'll see...

The wording is a bit weird, but yes, the fix was for him not splitting. It didn't only occur when a pet killed him.
