The new SC wings interfere with the regular combat animation - looks quite silly.

How so? What are they doing? They should just be sitting on your back in combat.

When you swing with your sword at a mob; the animation doesn't let the sword stay in the normal attack position, it forces it to go to your hip after every swing.

What race are you? Soga or Non Soga?

I can't reproduce this here, what weapon type are you using?

There's no animation when unsheathing your weapons. They go straight down to your sides and stay there - if you've ever used the Droag illusion, it does the same thing.

A Replica of Mithaniel Marr's Greatsword, but it also does the same with any other 2 hand weapon I equip, normally the attack pose looks as such.

EDIT: also; I'm a human with SOGA models on.

It does it here too.

I have in my appearance slot Glorious Scepter of Fyr(world event item) and not using SOGA models.

Dark elf female. Also does it with my Staff of Mastery(HM Taltaak, equipped, no appearance weapon) and my ennervated Mirage Star, equipped and appearance.

After a swing, she drops into the idle, unsheathed animation(standing still with weapon straight out at sides like droag).

Just thought about it, but can you fix the positioning a little on the wings? The right wing lays differently on the body than the left and its not symmetrical.  Not sure if this is intended or not.

Edited to include picture:

There is also no "sitting" animation when you /camp with them. Not as big a deal but I think it'd be neat if you kneeled like fae and arasai do.

Pretty sure that'd require a core skeleton animation change and some might not like it.

As it is, you stay standing when /camping but its all good.

There's some bugs I'm trying to work around. They are currently treated as a mount, and will behave like a mount. I have to add the flying to all the combat states I think, so the character will know to go to dual_wield_idle or 2h_sword_idle rather than pop back to idle.

The skew is REALLY noticeable on a Sarnak.

Yeah will get this tweaked. I didn't know there were any sarnak players. SMILEY

Sarnak kick butt dangit.

Ttobey, this is probably out of your domain but...

Any possibility of pushing up to the higher ups to make this kind of a "package deal" with a cloak that looks just like them? That way, when mounts are forced hidden, or if you hide mounts in combat you can still see them?

It would allow you to add combat animations since wing cloaks use faefolk wing animations, and cloaks currently hide with these wings equipped.

You could make it so the mount wings come with the cloak, and the cloak is available seperately.

Think you could push this up there? >.>

If it goes in, I'd like to see the cloak retro pushed to people with the wings, but even if I had to buy it I probably would.

Totally.

And thank you guys for these!

That sounds like crazy duct tape on top of the duct tape that I just put in, but I will throw it up the chain.

The cloak would solve the desires for myself and her Battiness(and probably more) to be able to see the wing graphic when mounts are hidden.

Cloaks are hidden when the mount is shown. When mount hides, the cloak shows. Flying mounts cannot be hidden and still work, so you don't have to worry about flying with the cloak.

Current wing cloaks use fae/arasai wing animations. This could do the same thing.

Also making them available seperately would allow people to use other flying mounts(or ground mounts) while appearing to have these wings.

I know people would buy it too.

It saves you from having to attempt making an exception for this item to be able to be shown indoors where mounts in general cannot be.

It's only logical!

And you gotta be honest. It may be a duct tape on top of the duct tape you just put in, but it's a feasible duct tape, since it's made out of something that already exists(wing cloaks).

You pushing the fixes in through a server side hotfix or is it going to require a client side patch? And is there an ETA? sometimes this stuff can be pushed overnight but not sure.

Thanks, Fel.  That's exactly what I was thinking.  I would have said it, too, except all I'm able to articulate this morning is "BAT WINGS BAT WINGS BAT WINGS UUUUHHHHHH" and fly around in circles.

I appreciate the assist.

Np, Strep.

Was pretty sure you were busy flying around in circles. I imagine you on a hyped up coffee spreed going "batwingsbatwingsbatwings" and cackling maniacally and squeeing like a little girl.

I know I was. >.>

My pet peeve is slightly different... I like these wings (and some of the older non-mount wings)... but I'd never use them because they HIDE MY CLOAK. Isn't there some way to make it so that wings and cloaks can co-exist in peace on all races?

That'd definitely make me buy and use these...

the non mount wings are cloaks. that's how they work. dunno though if they can make it so the mount wings and a cloak could show at the same time though.

I'm aware of that. However if, for example, you use the cloak-wings on a fae or Arasai character (in appearance slot, obviously), they will replace their original wings, and the non-appearance cloak will be visible. So, theoretically, it should be possible to have slots for both, on every race.

At the very least for the mount-wings, if they don't want to add another "wing" slot by itself, since you don't actually "wear" those.

Non mount wings go in the cloak slot, hence, hide the cloak.

Showing cloak with the mount wings *might* be possible, but it'd likely clip horribly. And it would pretty much destroy any hope of the cloak that would let us see the wings when mounts are hidden... because showing cloak to see them when we're in a no mount spot would mean we'd see two pairs of them when the mount's shown because cloaks show with the mount's shown...

If you get the drift. Our suggestion for that was dependant on the fact they hide the cloak.

As an Arasai, when I put on my Valorous Wings, I do not see my non-appearance cloak. If I take the wings off, I see my original wings and my non-appearance cloak.

For extra fun, I can leave the appearance wings on, set my back to show my ranged weapon, which doesn't work on Arasai, and suddenly I'm flying around with no wings at all.

One thing I noticed while my toon was in glide animation: the wings are slightly tilted to the left.  The right wing is up slightly higher than the body, the left wing is slightly down.  This is from looking at the back of the toon as they glide.

Frankly, I like that little off kilter tilt.  If you look at vids of soaring birds, their wings aren't always even either as they shift around on wind currents.
