10th Jan patch downloading 7 hours so far

It seems that since switching to the new patcher, 3 updates so far have caused my launcher to download ~1Gb data.

I created this thread and someone with around the same link speed is downloading the patch in 2 minutes.

With the old patcher I never had an update (non GU) that took longer than 10minutes yet since the 7th Dec I'm having these bloated downloads.

I had to restart the launcher 3 times as it's been hogging all the bandwith (512k uk adsl line) for over 7 hours. It's saying 0Mb of 947 Mb however if I was to be generous the progress bar is showing 20% done.

According to the text it's replacing 150 odd files....

This is in the "updated file list" so far if i click on advanced tools.

As you may have guessed I'm using the client that doesn't update in the background.

I can begin to explain how annoying this is. Any suggestions before I raise a ticket?
