![]() Since we now have ftp pvp, are we going to need a second pvp server? It was eastimated the server would explode if we had ftp pvp, just curious if naggy is getting overpopulated?

Personally I have no idea, but apparently it was crashing same as Freeport server (which has the highest population).

![]() There seems to be quite a few players in the lower zones. Over 3/4 of my Freeport Guild has multiple toons on Naggy right now. Myself included. We are really enjoying the playstyle. But whether it would be considered booming...I dunno. I have nothing to compare it against. Raf |

![]() If it is booming.. I am unsure where at. I have a Beastlord that I am not PLing this time around. Already have more 90s then I want to support lol. So time to resee the game again, for the first time in a long time. Anyways I am now 30 and have had exactly 1 PVP battle. That is it.. and it has also been the only Q in my range I have even ran across. I am sure if I were to visit the warfields I would see more. But is PVP battles that happen every other hour considered booming?

![]() They just merged Vox with Nagafen there won't be another pvp server for a long time. Probably never. And while I have noticed a slight increase from the merger and from the f2p, it isn't too noticable of an amount. |

![]() It is the LG merges causing the crashing- probably corrupt databases if anything. Bazaar merged into Freeport and Vox into Naggy and Freeport and Naggy have been crashing ever since. I would say there are more players on Nagafen now than there were before its transition to F2P, but that isn't saying much, as you were alone in basically every zone you went into before. I'd still peg Freeport as having the most players in all of EQ2 and Nagafen as having one of the lowest pops, judging by /whos, to be honest. And before anyone throws the "anonymous" card, /anons DO show up in /whos, just not their levels/guilds. But it still shows their names with "anonymous" after them. It's kinda sad when a server's particular type of PvP rule set has driven away so many players over the years that even for free, they don't feel like it's worth coming back to it. I think Nagafen's longstanding reputation has preceeded it, and this supposed GU63 huge PvP revamp had best be functional, well-thought-out, and far-reaching if Sony ever wants this server to become more than a pale shadow of what it once was back in the KoS days. After all, you hardly need to waste a whole server, especially one of Nagafen's hardware calibur, on what could be realistically covered similarly with one locked 39 BG and one 90 BG, lol. |

What would be the point of coming back to pvp on a free to play account? You can't wear any of the gear you got while you were subscribing, much less any new gear needed to be competitive. And on top of that, the gameplay and the story are complete crap. Why would someone bring free garbage into their house? |

The sad thing is SOE doesn't seem to realize that it's not nostalgia, that was the BEST pvp. The problem is the zones in KoS added another element to pvp with the cloud movements - each island basically became a base and people would infiltrate or retreat. We, the players, made our own type of battleground and it was amazing. For me it will still never be like KoS unless we have something like that. |

I'd rather get my facts straight before posting such unbased nonsense on the forums. You can wear every item, a paying customer can. You can use every expert/master, a paying customer can. I admit, it's not free but it's quite cheap to equip a toon, especially when you bought during triple SC. |

its funny now and kind of sad what it has become. the new players will never get to enjoy the fun of what we had in the beginning. remember those days when you got 30 or 40 kills just working your way towards antonica from commonlands to start the real hunting when you were under lvl20. fun times they were

maybe you should work on reading comprehension since they clearly said coming back to pvp on a free to play account. that means they dont want to pay for all the lol unlocks you would need to wear all your previous gear. free to play accounts stand absolutely zero chance against a vet account pvper. and i agree a free account stands no chance if you run into someone that has either been pvping for awhile or who has access to gear/aa/spell quality that free to play does not allow, there is no point on pvping for free unless you dont mind diing every 3 months when you actually see someone to fight. as it should be.

Nonsense? Straight facts? I logged into my level 90 character, and can equip none of the gear that she was wearing when I was a subscriber. If I want to wear that stuff, I have to pay for it? Does paying money for something now count as having it for free? And as I said anyway. What used to be a really good story, and a really good game, are now trash. Free trash is still trash. But I guess... maybe it is someone else's treasure. |

OK, let me sum it up : an unlock with 5 charges costs 150SC. When bought during triple SC, that is 50SC which in turn is 10SC per unlock. You need 21 unlocks to fully equip a toon IIRC. That is an unbelievable 210SC, a 7th of the price for a month of gold membership. And that isn't recurring ! So until you get some new equip, you can play a year (or more) for that amount of money. If they consider THAT expensive or not worth it or whatever, maybe they should stay away ..... And speaking of reading comprehension : Lilflier clearly said, they couldn't WEAR any of the old items, they didn't limit it to "for free". And no, it's not a given, since f2p in EQ2 means, you have to use unlocks if you want to use better equipment. |

I think you're exaggerating a bit much & that EQ2 PvP is still enjoyable if you arent focusing on some means of progression as I like to when I PvP. 5 equipment unlockers (950 SC, or $9.50 USD w/ no promos) & you'll have a set of PvP gear good to use until a new set of PvP gear is released by SOE. For a lifetime of free to play (F2P) PvP, that's pretty generous & lenient (assume a vet has solid M1s/Adept IIIs), though the subscribe pop-up is extremely intrusive & not closable by pressing escape. Even if you're a newblet with no solid spells, that's still only 950 SC for 5 spell unlockers (5 spells per). And if you think you need more than the minimal 4 bag slots (44 slot bags are pretty ample), you're still going to be playing fully enabled -- forever -- for around 2 months worth of subscription time ($30 USD or so).

![]() what's enjoyable about it? there's no strategy to it anymore, and the writers can't even follow their original story. It's worse than Lucas thinking up Jar-Jar Binks and Darth Vader also being C-3PO's father. And paying for something, isn't getting it for free. |

Paying for something isn't getting it for free. Do you really not understand the difference between free and not free? Using the free to play account, I can't wear one single piece of gear I was wearing while I was subscribing. Paying to unlock it, is not playing for free. There is no point in playing a free to play account, since you can't use anything worth using, without paying for it. And that's not free. So, back again in a circle to the same point. There is no point to playing free to play. |
