Greetings Norrath,

For all of you new players and people  have been around and PvP is not for you... I got a suggestion for SOE on behalf of you...

1.) SOE dont change a thing with pvp right now its perfect... Mercs are great for solors.  Freeport PvP is nice...

2.) Create a PvP server for people who like to have changes and who cry about how much everything just sucks. And give them a special vet reward for the holidays. A stocking in there house with coal in it. Cater to them on all there changes and pathetic ideas that ruin the game for some of us. Ship them out and out again onto there own server... Call it something like Drinal - My World. (named after one of the crappiest eq1 pve servers there was)

I was on nagafen like always on the release of its debut back in 06... I dont recall to much crying in shouts... On forums and pvp beta yes i do... And i was there for AoD release in FP... One guy crying in Freeport to change the pvp system because of immunity issues in FP..

So many people have suggestions on what to change... This is my proposed idea.... I am serious...

p.s. Sorry devs not trying to butter your toast but AoD and PvP like this was the best idea yet. Keep up the good work.

I like the changes except mercs. i pvp mostly at low tiers and im sorry, mercs are way 2 op at the low end of things, they put out more dmg than any player could in pvp and tbh it becomes PVE not PVP because you are fighting the merc not the player.

So you like how some blue stats still work in pvp, cant blamer you for only being able to win through broken mechanics.

Sounds like you are having a blast, hope you keep having fun vox lolol

I like the changes except mercs. I pvp mostly at low tiers and i'm sorry, mecs are way too over powered at the lower levels.  They put out considerably more damage than most or any players can in pvp and it becomes more pve instead of pvp since you are often fighting pve mobs more than other players.  There is a reason Tundra is so unpopular.

So you don't feel you discredit your 11 years of unfaultering dedication to SoE when you contradict yourself by saying a PvE addition to PvP is perfect?

Or since this game is a group V group set-up that aiding a soloer is what was missing?

Hmmmmm...

Things are far from perfect on Naggy.

While I enjoy the PvP in FP I also feel that Qeynos should be opend up to.  I find it frustrating that I cannot head over there and gank them while they are at the reforger or broker also.  Fair is fair guys.

Also PvE procs in PvP are fine so long as there is a PvP way to get the same proc.  Either fix em all or turn of all PvE procs in PvP.

Get rid of Crits and Crit mit in PvP no need for em at all 1 damage reduce stat make it Toughness so that PvP gear and PvE gear are diff ( since this is the direction SoE has taken with the seperation of PvP and PvE gear )

Give PvP players the rest of our sets we need new jewlery and weapons.  Its been how long since we got an update?

For those that will say no we want our PvE procs in PvP stuff I would be ok with that if and only if PvP gear still offer the most protection in PvP and still work in PvE settings ala TSO PvP gear.  However since primary PvE players will say no no no to it then I say no to your procs working in PvP.  PvP gear should be the best gear for PvP and if you are not wearing PvP gear in PvP then you may as well be wearing regular treasured gear even if you spent 3 nights a week raiding.

While that's kind of a BS "argument" - you've been holding a SoE account for 11 years, congratulations on your purchase of Omens of War, hope you're happy - if that's what it takes for you to listen, might want to take a pointer from the first guy to ever drown an Iksar on Rallos Zek.

if a game has a division between PvE and PvE - as most do including EQ2 - then a mechanic that muddles the two, such as mercs, is a problem. At least so long as the Mercs are coded as world mobs rather than players. An argument otherwise basically paints you as someone for whom the main point of pvP is exploitation of brroken mechanics - like you're hte guy who put Vindi BP's in every slot when SoE screwed up the customizable interface back in Luclin, or who was air-humping over charmed Kunark mobs being able to decimate people in a single hit (Whether that's EQ2 or the old trick of EQ1 enchanters buffing a charmed mob in Sebilis, then zoning, is up to you to decide)

if Mercs are whacking on people in PvP as if they were heroic mobs, then that's a problem.

Hm.

And lol @ "pvp is perfect". City PVP is a nice start, but PVP is far from perfect.

PvP needs more conceptual flow in a very specific direction, and then a preservation method on retaining that flow. Consistency is processing infinity (in terms of potential) :3

There used to be a "PVP" checkbox when you examine every piece of gear. So you can turn it on.. and guess what... it does nothing! PVP/PVE stats separation, even if not a bad idea at the core, has the worst implementation possible.

P.S. No, Merc are fine in PVP because everyone can have a Merc! (Same logic goes for god spells, but not about to start a holywar SMILEY)

no, not everyone can have a mercenary

Smokejumper claimed AoD was an optional content package

yet AoD is required to perform optimally in PvP

no mercs in pvp. period.

they ruin the potential for player-focused contested farming.

they promote cowardly, evasive, sloppy, & lethargic PvP engagement.
