I got 3 from 5 Exquisite chests today and one from one of my apprentices. I didn't see any drop in ornate chests.

I got one off the rare named in The Library in SF Highlands instance. So older expansions do drop them. |

TY I did mean any old rather than old as they are tiered but what I meant was do they drop in any instance public or instanced and overland heroics etc or just private instances?

Yes, they're tiered. They drop in heroic content. That could include overland, but it seems doubtful. |

so how exactly do the apprentice quests work? is it daily? If so, then there are definitely 24 hours between each quest (logged in yesterday and immediately started those quests on all my toons, and normally there is 18 hours between daily missions right? Those have passed and i still get the message to come back tomorrow). So, every 24 hours. But what i begin to wonder is...what if u do those quests only for the small chance to get a reactant? And what if all ur lvl 90 recipes are researched....does it then auto give quests for the 80's? Or how does that work exactly? What if u want a chance to get a tier 6 reactant? how would u go about that, if only doing apprentice quests? *****And from now on im gonna put this message in every TS forum post i do***** ----------- PLEASE REVISE THE PROVISIONER APPRENTICE RECIPES--------------- |

The reactants come from heroic content of the appropriate tier, and we were told in beta that that does include contested content, but it sounded like it may not include _all_ heroic content. I'm not sure about overland, but I'd assume that could be included as contested. As far as the daily quests go, the reward seems to be based on the research you are doing. At least the common harvestable rewards I received were of the appropriate tier for the recipe I was researching. If you want a chance at a level 60 reactant, I guess you'd need to be researching something level 60. But that does bring up the question -- once you finish researching a particular tier, does that mean you no longer have the possibility of obtaining a reactant of that tier except through adventuring or broker? It almost makes me want to skip the "coach" option to give more opportunities for the reactant, but that would double the research time... Interesting conundrum . |

Considering that the reactants are fabled quality, any chest that drops them will be exquisite. My big question is what kinds of mobs are dropping them? Random trash mobs? Named mobs only? Boss/rare mobs only? |
