I get the pad up click the play button and Every time I get

"EverQuest II has detected an unrcoverable error and must shutdown."

Failed to open streaming asset database. OpenResult=-10

00415fb4 01083c1c

I have tried both full pad install and from my current station launcher I get the same error. I have also tried moving my folder to the suggested location out of ProgramData and still get this same error every time I try to launch.

Give these steps again.  If you already installed this LP just go through it once more exactly as described below.  Put the EQII game folder in UsersPublic - let me know if it generates the same error or another.

These are the steps that should work for you:

  1. Download [this installer
  2. Run the installer.  It will probably ask you if you want to install another copy, repair or remove.  For this task, choose "install another copy"
  3. Carefully choose the location that you already had the game installed - make sure it is the one where everquest2.exe is located
  4. Finish the installer
That should update your game directory with a new LaunchPad.exe file, capable of updating *that particular* game location.

I have it installed in UsersPublicSony online entertainmentInstalled games

Or should the eq2 folder be directly in UsersPublic?

Thats the only other option as I have tried those steps countless times and get the same error.

Yep still getting the same error after doing what you suggested.

Please open a support ticket and include your dxdiag/msinfo files.  You can post your reference number here and I'll review the information as soon as possible.

You will need to disable your overclock in order to receive support.  I won't claim its the culprit but it's where we need you to be in order to troubleshoot with you.  I also see a great deal of system errors occurring, very critical ones like BlueScreen events and so on.  Can't tell on the surface what caused all that or if its related but its definitely cause for concern if you weren't aware or know what caused them.

All BSOD are crash dumps.  The question is what may be causing them?  Rare occasion can still be an indicator of a bigger issue.

As much as that would lead one to believe its a launcher issue, what you are encountering is an error generated ingame when the launcher is already out of the equation.

As for the game update itself nothing in it would induce that error.

Something changed.  Double check security software, admin privileges, instlal path, all of that.

Once you are fully patched, you could run the main game executable, everquest2.exe, to fully isolate your test from the LaunchPad.

I have no issues getting in game straight from using the executable, it just will not launch from the new launcher. I had no issues with the old station launcher before either. Just unsure if im getting patched.

You are getting patched.  My current theory is the command-line arguments being passed to the game executable.  Unfortunately, it will take some research and discussion with the game team.
