Would be extremely helpful. I swear every 10 min I have to alt tab and Google up, sometimes without much luck, to figure out what zones people are talking about and what the level ranges are.

How about adding a special character to expand zone names? Eg:

"need dps for @sc" > "need dps for Silent City"

Wikia and Zam already have a list of the most used abreviations I believe.

So eg; You type "@sc" then press space, and then it expands into "Silent City".

If some abbreviations are not standard perhaps pressing tab could cycle through them?

Even better... make it clickable link, that shows a small window with a thumbnail and description of the zone and level range (something that may already be in place for Duingeon Finder or could serve it too?). Then you can also backspace to delete the whole expanded name at once,

the issue is... some zones use the same Abbreviation... and have seen them vary from server to server on zone nicnames.

but maby a list of possable zone names would work.

Assuming you don't switch servers every couple of weeks, I'm pretty sure you can learn the abbreviations used in channels easily enough...

This is a non-issue. Learn your acronyms...

Yes, me, and the other thousands of players trying this game year after year, having to deal with the huge amount of content and tips and tricks in this game.

Admittedly there may be far better ways to deal with this. The Dungeon Finder may alleviate this problem.

I understand it might be overwhelming for a new player, however its nothing that can't be fixed with a quick question.

It's pretty pointless for any dev to spend time on something that varies so much server to server and over time.  Everytime a new expansion comes out even the Vets have to learn new acronyms. It's not that hard.
