now that you have upgraded all the other lower level items, please don't forget mythical weapons especially the delays.  none of the upgraded lower level weapons use 2.5 second and 3 second delays any more, why should mythicals?

Why are you using your mythical? 1. Do your Epic weapon timeline. 2. Do Epic Repercussions. 3. Pick up an Othmir quest weapon. 4. Put your mythical on the wall in your house. The end.

Hiya, Feldon.

The approach you mention is the one I'm taking. I see the other side of it every day, though. My partner is taking things slowly, trying to enjoy the content roughly in order, since we've both started playing eq2 fairly recently. (Lots of MMOs under my belt here, but for him this is the first one.) He worked really hard on getting his Mythical simply for the joy, pride and experience of having done it the hard way in the face of all the people who say "lol, don't bother, the numbers aren't l33t enough." So, for him it's not all about the numbers; it was a challenge, he really enjoyed the Mythical questline, and he felt pretty darn good when he finally finished.

So, even with the numbers not being the most important factor, he still got something of a surprise last night. He finished a solo questline in Fens of Nathsar, and as a reward got a level 72 Treasured weapon. The stats on it were much better than his shiny new Mythical.

I guess my points are, a) Just because you're no longer interested in the content, or it's trumped by something newer, doesn't mean that it's not worth looking at, especially when it's something that such a part of the Everquest mystique as the class Epic, and b) Even within the context of Kunark content, ignoring everything since, the Mythicals are completely out-of-whack with the progression.

I'm glad they didn't just apply the same script to the Mythicals that they did to everything else; the epic weapons really deserve to be looked at and fixed by hand. It's not like there are that many of them. Hopefully they get around to it before long. My partner's taking it in stride, and even having a bit of a laugh about it, in the context of all the reitemization strangeness. In his position I'd probably be a bit more annoyed SMILEY

because i'm level 80 and am staying this way for a while.  no point cuz getting 90 is easy yada yada yada? then theres no point upgrading all the other level 80 gear then is there?

totally agree with what you said there.  i would even settle for a script just to fix weapon delays though.  are there even 2.5 second and 3 second weapons out there any more? finding a matching dual wielding weapon would be a nightmare for those that can.
