![]() I can't test flying mounts on my illusionist (she's only 80), but when I use my leaper (either quested or my purchased Terrorbird) or my glider (quested) and jump/glide my pet vanishes. It looks like she drops down through the world. My pet window still remains, but I can't summon my pet using the spell, nor send it to attack something or make it passive so it returns to my side. The only way I can get my pet back is to recast it. I submitted a /bug report about this but thought it might be helpful to post here as well. From what I've seen on level chat I'm not the only pet class having this issue. |

![]() Yes, leaper mounts definitely despawn pets - especially quests requiring you to guide npc's across a zone (such as that one Ro deity quest in Lavastorm). |

![]() I haven't had this issue other then being in a dungeon the other night and after a few minutes, as I got further in my pet stopped responding. I assumed it was a line of sight issue. Haven't had a problem since. amended : tonight I bug reported pet disppearing while still showing spawned. I was on my leaper. When I changed mounts having remembered this being linked by another player, I stopped having the issue.

![]() Have not had this issue until after the recent downtime. I used to be able to call servent, but it no longer works. **** added ---- Ok. Even an itsy bitsy leap on the craft leaper makes my necromancer's pet disapear. The way it dissapears, it that (like others mentioned) disolves into the void of nowhere to be found, must be dismissed (even though the pet is nowhere to be seen) then summoned again. I hope this is a bug and not intended (??) |

![]() I can confirm that this occurs on the leapers, and a guildy told me it happened with the gliders as well. It does NOT happen with true flying mounts. Re-summoning the pet(s) or zoning gets your pet back into working order, but the "Call Servant" ability does nothing. While it's not an issue for godpets.... it's a somewhat larger issue for combat pets (and to some their harvesting ponies). I did notice another peculiar thing... I remember all of my various pets (pony, god pet, summoner pet) disappearing much the same way when I took off on my flying mounts... but it would return upon landing. After the recent downtime, my pet no longer disappears on takeoff, but instead runs on the ground below me. Not attempting to de-rail in any way, but I was thinking perhaps these two issues are related.

![]() I had this problem last night on my leaper with my defiler doggie. If I zoned, it fixed it. Otherwise I had to dismiss and recall my pet if I did any leaping. I ended up just using a regular mount. |

![]() Happens with the leaper and glider anywhere you can jump and glide high. With the glider it seems you can recover your pet from time to time by doing a small jump. I'm a conjuror so obviously please fix asap (today would be nice) i just can't play normally with this serious bug |

Also had the problem with my pets disappearing after leaping. This was with both a Defiler and Illusionist pet. However, I did not have the problem on the glider pet (with the Defiler) - interesting to hear some people have. The only other thing to note was that if I bound my 'suspend safefall' key to something other than spacebar (ie, for me jump and leap are the same key), then I was able to do normal jumps with the leaper without killing the pet. Even the smallest leap I could manage killed it off

![]() It would be nice to know if this was an intended change or an unintended change. Meanwhile, glad I delayed purchasing a Terrorbird. The leapers are great fun, but they are not fun when the class pet dissapears into oblivion, and the character must dismiss then recall the pet. If my necro can't hop along on a Terrorbird without loosing her sidekick pet (that she needs to fight with), there is no reason to buy a leaper from the Marketplace. |

![]() I reported the bug almost immediately after the servers came up on the 12th - I use the glider on my Necromancer and Illusionist to get between Toxxulia Forest and Kerra Island in Sundered Frontier for the solo mark quest and, before the patch on the 12th, the pet would usually run through the air behind you. Now, as others have said, the pet disappears and must be recalled. In case it helps, the error message you get after trying to command a pet that has disappeared because of this bug is "[pet name] is in no position to do that." (or something very close to that - I found it odd because I've never seen that message before, usually I get "You are unable to command your pet at this time."). |

Yep, after leaping about, my coercer's charmed pet is no longer in a position to attack, defend, or anything else. If I cancel the charm, though, the mob appears out of thin air and attacks me, chasing me down across the zone if necessary. This behavior doesn't occur if I'm on a ground mount, or no mount at all.

![]() My problem is with pets NOT despawning with FLYING mounts. Ever since leapers and gliders went in our pets have been running along trying desperately to catch up to us while we're flying. Problems: 1. The pet is nowhere to be seen and needs to be summoned when we land. SOE had this working just fine when the pet would respawn when we landed. Now that they're trying to follow us, the pet is lagging too far behind. 2. Pet set on defend. Get aggro from a mob while flying. Pet engages mob. You fall out of the air because your flying mount stops working. Enjoy the falling damage.

Agree with all of this. It's extremely aggravating to fly on my mystic now. Not only do I have to deal with points 1 and 2, but even if my pet isn't set on defend, if I aggro a mob while flying, the mob will eventually quit chasing me and go after my pet instead (I guess because of the buffs my dog has). So now I either have to land and fight the mob, or keep flying and let my pet die. The pets suspending while flying/leaping/gliding was really super great and completely hassle-free and I loved it. Can we please go back to that? |

![]() Had it happen too. All as described. Was confusing at first. Considering this is my first squishie it's been hard enough learning such a different combat procedure to all my melee types, so for a while I thought it was something class related. When I worked out what it was, it was irritating enough to warrant camping. It'd be like a melee type loosing their autoattack.
