Mounts look ok but the horse model used is to stocky.  Should have gone with a leaner horse somthing more arabian or a plains horse model.

One thing I absolutely depise is when someone I don't play the game with gets their +200 UberBlade of Deific Emasculation (or what the &^%$ ever) - "Norrath is still for a moment as DDDrrrrriiizzzzztttttt blahblahblahblah....".  Not the fact that they got it, mind you - hey, good for them.  But the question is - why should I care?  I mean, really?  What effect does it have on my game play?  And why should I have this annoying gaggle of text pop up on my screen when I couldn't give a rodent's rosey red rear?  Now, if it was a friend or a guildie, or even someone I'm grouped with who's acquiring it - hey, great.  That has some real bearing for me.  I helped them, or can at least share in their moment of triumph beyond a texted 'gratz'.  But someone who I am likely to never group with, or possibly never even run into in-game, I'm supposed to obsess over how they got their doohickey?  Frankly, I wouldn't care if they started selling Epics and Fabled gear - while I'm far too much of a cheapskate to spend money on something like that, if GGGGaaaannndddalllffff the wizard decides he wants to buy himself a full set of Uber-grade gear - hey, more power to him.  Not like he can't plat his way into a raid these days, anyways.

And similarly - if someone goes out and gets a flying mount for however much that SOE is gouging us for - why should I care, really?  What effect does that person having a purchased mount versus a quested mount have on my game?  They're up in the wild blue yonder on a griffin OR...a winged horse.  Wow.  Such a huge difference it has on my game, really.

You're conflating something minor, and easy, into an "important questline". It's a simple, soloable process that requires almost no effort. Ten, maybe fifteen minutes each day, spread over five days. To Speak As a Dragon was an important part of a questline...and I believe they removed a goodly sized, and difficult chunk of that in order to accomodate the wishes of their customers. Selling a flying mount, and allowing people to skip a pathetically easy quest, (for those who have DoV), or allowing those without DoV to acquire a flying mount has no impact on the game, or other people that play the game. It's a bit of fluff...but since the often made predictions of selling raid gear on the marketplace -still- haven't happened, I guess the few that complain about everything anyway, will latch onto anything SOE gives them, and run with it.

Remember the flying carpet fiasco? Once upon a time, there was only one way to get a flying carpet, (which in reality was nothing more than a ground mount anyway), and very few people per server had managed to acquire one. Some that did, so proud of their accomplishment, would park their toon, on it's carpet, in the most conspicously busy areas of Qeynos they could find...for hours and hours and hours, just so everyone else would know that THEY had a carpet. Then SOE added a flying carpet quest to DoF that anyone could do. All hell broke loose on the forums. Similar to this thread, but moreso.

The moral of this story...what's unique today, will be commonplace tomorrow. Just because you had to follow a certain path to acquire something, doesn't mean everyone else will have to in the future.

Kudos to SOE. They're putting things on the marketplace that people want, and that do not have an impact on the game in general.

Careful there. I'd kill for another +5 to range.  As a scout, the further I can get from the nasty mobs, the better. With AA choices, I'm practically standing with the mage groups now, and I think SOE is aware of this. I do think they could make either mount available in different colors though...possibly even with different tack. I'd like mine to be war-barded, for instance, and others have expressed interest in having theirs without tack, or saddle at all.

You realize of course that +5 to Ranged skill has absolutely nothing to do with how far your ranged attacks will reach . . .

I love the look of the pegasus mounts.  I'm excited about these things.  I don't mind spending some money as I know it helps this game survive and progress.

"Once activated, this World of Warcraft in-game pet key applies to all present and future characters on a single North American World of Warcraft license."

For the love of all that's right about this game, please make these mounts on the Station Store the same way!  I have 10 toons now and may get more (love additional slots...one time fee $10 feels fine).  That's $195 to get one for all my critters???  Not going to happen.  I have enough station cash atm to get two so I have to choose the two toons I want to have them and then even if I wait for another triple cash sale (looking for a Paypal account to bribe hackers right now (j/k)) it would still cost me $52 of RL money to get these mounts.  And...AND(!!!)...I know you're going to make more and I'll want those too.

So please...PLEASE(!!!!)...make these things like the warcraft mounts and keep churning them out.  Right now I can see I won't be able to keep up financially if you do add more and frankly I feel gouged to have to pay for one for each toon if I want each toon to have one (and I do *weeping*).

The Pegasus looks a wee bit too heavy for a flying steed. I don't think I'll be buying one atm.

Love that dragon, although it is OTT. What game is that from? A more sombre, deadly-looking thing would suit EQ2, rather than that, which looks to me like an overly fussy piece of jewellery. But certainly body-shape and bridle are along the right lines.

They'll get my money for at least 2, but only because of the triple cash thing (glad I held off on spending it).  After that, no way.  If they released one of these for $20 under the aforementioned conditions on a schedule of say, every three months or so, I'd probably buy each one if I liked it.  I think they have a lot of cool mounts on the store, but the price/per toon is an enormous turn-off.

This is typical. They screamed and complained about SC, but then when they could not buy the expansion by using their SC to get it at half price, they screamed and complained. Truth is, no matter what is done, they scream and complain. It seems that if you hate a company or game so much, you wouldn't bother to give them your time and money. But then, what would you scream and complain about? I do see the point about the waiting part. That was annoying. OTOH, you are quite correct, who cares how someone else plays the game? Some people just feel the need to control others any way they can. Personally, I don't complete quests just to prove I am some kind of badass. I complete them to complete a goal, get the reward or some other reason. I don't really care if someone else is impressed with my armor. I don't generally do inspects on others unless they are wearing something I am interested in and want to know what it is. I don't care. But for far too many, their whole life revolves around being the resident badass in a video game. So they will complain about and try to control everything.

Seriously? Acquiring the carpet was that exclusive? Who knew? I think I only did it on 2 characters because the final quest was very difficult at the time and after two, didn't seem worth it anymore. I had no idea it was that big of a deal. hahaha. Kind of supports what I said before that some people need to feel like badasses in a video game to complete them.

Yeeeah why wouldn't they wait until today to put the flying mounts in the marketplace and avoid all the complaining..? Maybe SoE likes to make people complain...

I (and most people I would assume) don't care about stuff being availiable on marketplace however, give us an option for getting something similar for PLAYING THE GAME.

And "playing the game" doesn't included LoN or the boss raidmob of the expansion that only like .5% of the playerbase ever kill.

I am just sick of all the effort being put into marketplace while most stuff available in game look REALLY REALLY bad. (Armors/weapons/mounts ect)
