I wish for picture frames for screenshots, but that idea also comes with the idea of having our own in-game screenshot album and having the ability to copy the album pictures to player books  SMILEY

I very much want the red and blue trees from the Forgotten Pools!!  They are beautiful.  More trees in general, especially the pink looking trees in Jarsath Wastes.  Have always loved those.  Would be good to add to the Grottos maybe.  SMILEY

Time to bump this thread with a new request. Would love to have a full set of D & D  type dice . I know we have 1 or 2 already in game as house pets but i want ones we can place in our house or hall you can acually use. Place them click on one and it randomly flops to a different number . Be cool to build a board game and host game night at your house or hall with all your friends ..possibilities are endless

More than anything I'd love to be able to live in different areas of the city.  In Qeynos for example, it would be so cool for the halflings to actually have a big house in Baubleshire or the elves to have a big house in Willowwood.  Having houses in any zone would be the best but that might be harder to achieve than adding houses to city zones.

Being able to purchase a home in Thurgadin or Paineel would be nice as well.

Just as a side to that, I was dissapointed that all the presteige homes are in the main cities.  Would it have been so hard to put them in Somborn, SS and EF?

For inside the houses I wish they'd put in a lot more plant and vegitation.  Many people have little gardens so it'd be really nice if we could have a large variety of  veggies and flowers.

A Willow style tree would be nice.  Or a weeping myrtle.

Kelp.  Kelp would be AWESOME for aquariums, rock walls and non water decorating applications.

Still hoping for those water tiles without borders SMILEY  And glass tiles and different shapes.

Any way we could have a...er shaft of light sunlight/moonlight doesn't matter.  Some sort of light source strong enough to directionally affect things?  It would make skylights, crevices, forests, gardens, home made windows, so nice.

Here is my personal wishlist as well as some thank-yous to the eq2 team for some of my favorite awesome items!

As a decorating nut, I'd really like to see some of the following items/features added for player housing. Some may already have been mentioned:

1. customizable labels: might be nice for chests, crates and barrles; when a player mouses over the item the label would display "cheese" "salt" or whatever you want to be in the container

2. complete table settings easier to get - with napkins. I love most of the dishes in game but the good sets are far to time consuming to come by. A player made dining set would be a godsend

3. servant plushies - waitress, handmaiden, guard, etc

4. visitor/patron plushies - some in sitting positions

5. spiral or twisting staircases, more staircase options. I know the layout editor can do this, but I was thinking something pretty with railing

6. green or aquamarine marble - love, love love the city festival marble, but my favorite colors are green and teal; would love this color for gardens, etc

7. COLORED AMBIENT LIGHTING - omg this should be number one. the red candelabras from the nights of the dead recipies are a great example, and yellow is covered with the brellium and tuptan lighting... but soft blue or gree, purple, pink, orange... can do so much for mood

8. rose bushes - hedge seeds are nice but too dark and rigid, something leafy would be so nice, especially if the roses were all glowie like on the gazebo!

9. curtains!!!!!!!!!!!!! long/short versions

10. guest/visitor signing book - I've wished a million times for something people could sign when they come in to my house, if they like it they can leave a note for others to read.

11. window into ___  zone - wouldnt it be great to look outside into the feerrott or lavastorm or something?

12. ancestral portraits - this might be asking a little much, but I think it would be so cool to be able to customize your toons family heritage and line the halls with their portraits

13. topiary bushes - the mannequins are awesome, but you cant get them any more.  different topiary options would be sweet!

14. round cobble / stepping stones

15. harvestable, plantable garden - another unlikely idea, however... how cool would it be if you could quest for "seeds" which you could "plant" in a home or guild garden that would yield real harvests?

16. flower lamp florets - I am in love with the hanging florets, and I think matching table or floor versions, or different colors, would be such a treat

17. spool of thread / shears

18. more zone maps for walls or table scrolls

19. glass display case you can actually use, or glass pieces to build it yourself

20. wood, brick, stone, marble building blocks, rods, planks, boards, poles, etc. This would be HUGE and people could get so creative. The sathirian sarcophagus are lovely, and versatile, but now are a little overused

21. cakes!

22. willow trees, or swaying hanging tendrils

23 . fish plushie for ponds/aquariums that looks like harvest node

24. glowing colored runes for walls, inspired by silent city/living tombs, the walls in thurgadin are gorgeous too

25. piles of gold / coin

26. truly round counters, tables, and benches - marble would be nice

27. twinkling floating stars for outdoor areas

28. floating quest feather & book

29. lockable doors only owners/trustees can open

30. different looking hanging plants - ferns, flowers, rhododendron? particle effects?

31. rectangular and/or oval planters

32. pvp trophies - a little macabre, i know... wouldnt it be fun to win heads, wings, scalps, armor, etc of your pvp or battlegrounds opponents though?

33. indoor clouds - white, stormy etc

34. coat/hat racks

Thank you soe especially for the hanging florets, wide variety of food items, and many choices of tile for flooring. EQ2 housing has come so far, keep up the good work!

Skins...animal skins for blankets, rugs, wall hangings and throws.  I know we have bear skin rugs ..but without the heads would be nice.

Also for a prestige home - the Halas structure that houses the class trainers (with the fire pit in the centre) would be nice as  a holiday home for players.

Now with multiple housing I'd love to see the house items from the D.I.R.T.Y. events make a comeback so I can begin my army of Maj'Dul homes properly.

Some of these ideas are just awesome. I would love to have the following especially:

Curtains (varying sizes and colors)

Borderless water squares

Borderless panes of glass

Windows that see into other zones

Fish plushie that looks like swimming fish (fishing node style)

Seeds that you can plant in your house and then harvest from them (What a cool idea!)

Servant plushies

Doors that only trusties can open

The ability to restrict a pet to certain rooms

The ability to turn off certain item behaviors (such as the popping scare crow)

The ability to actually use the furniture in the house, or at least have character plushies that can be sitting or laying down on things. (One of my characters has this great spa, but it's completely empty of patrons! Doesn't inspire much confidence in her business does it?)

Also, staircases. I know we all make stairs out of numerous different things, but it would be nice to have a nice set of stairs as an item too.

Some things I haven't seen anybody else ask for yet (though I couldn't read through all these posts on this thread, so it's possible somebody has):

Rounded mounds of grass that do not have the butterflies/fireflies on them, or the ability to turn that effect off of those items.

Rounded mounds and flat squares that look like dirt, just plain soil for planting or fresh graves or stuff like that.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but this seems like a good list anyway. hehe SMILEY

I would like a fountain with a spout. Like something you'd see outside a fancy hotel or in some malls where the water sprays upwards and falls back down into the pool.

I thought i would stick my 2pence worth here..

i would love to see...

carpenter crafted wall paper (when u put it up u get an option of colour and/or design)

cupbords/draws that can open.

copper kettle for the stove...

The pets to stay put... option for stay/sit/sleep/move not temporary so u can set them as u wish... and that they cannot walk through walls /fences/(im getting sick on my mother pig and her piglets walking through my house whilst im either trying to take a screen shot or entertaining visitors)(yes i know u can get a plushie version but i missed that this year and have to wait till next ,which is a long way off!)

For my charactors to interact with my furniture like sit on a chair/lie on a bed.... oooh and some one some where made a wish for the bed to have option of messy ,unmade, different colour bedspreads oooh yes!!! thats great.

dinning tables with tiled tops, round tables, ( i hate the sumac stuff cant the design have options of differednt colours ... cant stand red for the upholstery or wood!!)

oooh and dividers wthi arche ways already built in them for doors to be hung... we already can buy the doors so how about being able to  have an option of doorway frame in a divider so that the doors fit and not just square holes...

more and different fish for tanks a bigger veritiy, perhaps seaweed, lobesters, seahorses, starfish, Sea anemones, jelly fish.

AND for the love of Decorating please please please give us a blank empty plot of land, we buy the house or the land ir stands on to designe with ... because all your free over sized portal houses are totaly discusting/ugly and unattractive and sooo mahoosive its stupid.... i hate the colours, designes, hight, trim, art work,....

oh and whilst im on the subject of portals please let us non fancy housing people be able to get  personal portals for our multihomes coz theres not a chance in hell im wasting my money either in game or RL money buying a house i can't stand all for the sake of a portal... comon be fair!! we pay our subscriptions too!

i will add more when i can remember when i though of it

Smiles broadly......

Would love solid colored large room carpets.  Solids would be so much better.

I know they have said no dyes but some people like their houses red so they should be able to pick red carpet, personally I like blue so I would love to pick blue.  But dyes need to be eaisly accesable so people don't take advantage of them on the market.

Walls of the Qeynos housing choices are just awful.  So more coloring choices for our homes.  I would love to have walls like the Qeynos guild halls or even Freeport guild hall walls.

If no dyes then it would also be nice to have a color palate so we can choose colors of walls, furniture extra.  But especially walls, carpets, floors.

The ice bookshelf from Frostfell you can't put anything on them unless you use a long ornate shelf and slid it in and put stuff on it and then take the shelf out.  When the Frostfell furniture first came out when you turned the right way it would flicker a beautiful wood color.  Would love to have the entire Frostfell set in that choice of color.  Make the Frostfell furniture again solid instead of see through or give us a solid of that furniture with the Festivals every month.  You could even do black marble, white marble, red marble, blue marble, choices of that furniture.

With floor tiles I would love a flowing water tile to allow for eaiser making of bath tubs, ponds, extra.  Flowing water dividers would be awesome ase well.  The watery platform boarder is to thick and oval which can make it a pain in the butt to work with.

Would love actually waterfall water.  You could call it a waterfall sprout.  Then we could enlarge it the size we want and you could even give us choices heavy flow, calming flow, normal flow, etc. like fire places do during Erolisi.

Choices of wood grains on all frames.

To be able to adjust room dividers smaller and even larger.  Dividers without the floor board and wall boarders.

To be able to adjust things not only by size but to be able to adjust things by length and height.

Please please please please make The Vigilant Rescue (for the crook cook) a solable zone.  I have tried everything I can think of to get in there and can't.

House pets so they do not move.  I would love to put my siren in my fish tank.

More fish, and make the quest repeatable.

Stairs, stairs, stairs.

More tree choices, more plant choices, rose bushes.

More stages but with more color choices.  For example white marble, reb marble, black marble, green marble, brown marble, blue marble, etc etc.

A toliet

More rocks so we don't have to use the freaking shrine and try to cover up that mess.

So that is my list for now I am sure there is more.

More player made/quested musical instruments/musicboxes that play tunes.

The option to input our own music into those instruments/musicboxes, such as a piano that plays Wagner/Mozart on single play or endless loop. Perhaps even a "playlist" of sorts.

Ammenities for prestige homes so that we can set them up as personal "guild halls". Maybe they could be some kind of "ancestral home" for our alts. I'd love to have all the travel stuff and arena type things for my house now that it's so BIG! It would be nice for my alts to be able to go right in to an ancestral home, instead of having to run the Visitor/portal gauntlet every time. (Also people could stop paying other players to help them form personal guilds just to get the hall...)

Thought of another thing grid lines that we can turn on so we can see center of items and rooms so to make things easier to make even.

Climbable objects such as ladders and rock walls.  It's fun using various objects to build stairs, but sometimes I just wish I could save floor space and have a ladder to a loft or something!

My wishlist is this (for now):

  • A Rivervale prestige home (and it better be a proper Halfling home at that :p)
  • An Unrest prestige home
  • Site-to-site teleport pads, pairs of two that only teleport between each other (think of the teleport pads in some areas of Freeport that take you to different levels when stepping on them)
  • Climbable furniture (rock walls, ladders, etc.)

I would love to have the house Unrest as well...but not just a few rooms the entire house, grounds and all,  but with the ability to change the wall colors, floor colors, boarder colors and ceiling colors.  But then I would be thrilled if they would do that with the Qeynos houseing as well.  It would be awesome if I could have white walls, blue floors, blue boards/trim, white ceiling or any colors of those items we could want.

Yep, the stairs are a big one. The Kerra steps are cute, but they aren't for every room.

I'd love to see some new dividers. Was excited around Frostfell to see the new ones, and was hopeful that there would be more.

Yeah, if they were to make an Unrest Prestige home it would have to be the whole of Unrest.  Indoors and out (and below).  Otherwise it'd just be a disappointment.  Customizable floors and whatnot would be nice, but I'd be happy enough if it were like it's already implemented in the Qeynos and Freeport houses (never owned a house in a  new city so don't know if they do it).  Even without being able to customize any textures it'd still be one hell of a treat to have a real Unrest Estate.

Garrick is right, the "ladder" is perfect, or able to climb massive bookcase or able to see and lining up perfectly as you go up higher.

after seeing new prestige DoV housings, man, that is totally ungodly too high, only good for that huge green/teal Erudite Banner to hang up that high. the textures in there will be very challenging for decorators.

Thurgadin Hall could be easy with crystal rocks and mushrooms from Nek's Fungus Grotto in waterfall room, and front main rooms would be crafting and "warehouse", or some players will make as "restaurant/cafe" theme.

anyway, enough ideas, but that ladder is one of "best" housing tool, good for little wee folks that keep getting placeables in red and need ladder support to see them "greenable".

edited to add.

oh yes, Carpe, i do like many optional "retexture" menu like Q and FP does, with "pristine" Unrest estates would be one of most desirable prime house to own, it got everything, it got the yard, small water creek, small cemetery, patio, upper floors, main floors with kitchen, bar, den room, music room, but library need to be stripped for personal library decorating beside having that Maj'Dul Library (good for placing a portal), and (modified) basement and some cave rooms.

would be nice if one of the hedge/cliff section get replace with a dockyard, maybe a beach view reachable by cliff-side ramps/catwalks.

Unrest Estates model would be "ultimate" customizable with "housing menu" just like character's tab with mounts, currencies, appearances. speaking of "appearance tab in house menu, when you add a floor tile on the menu from grotto or city festival, then hit select, then whole floor get new looks instead of having 30 black marble tiles like we do now.

The Laughting Trout would be awesome.  But I'd be happy with one of the smaller houses provided they have an outdoor area.  Just so long as it's a real Halfling house that's a decent size (I don't want a Halfling Dojo).

A more attractive version of the Feyiron Fence that you can't walk through.  Actually, perhaps some fences from the City Festivals to match their Pole counterparts.

Iron-gate kind of door.

I would fall over and die if we got Unrest Estates.  Ultimate dream house from SOE.
