GU60: UI Bug Over-Writing Adornments

This is in /bug, but a screenshot is useful too.

I had the Snowfang Mystic's Cloak, with a 1% crit chance chrono adornment in it. I put a crafter Ethereal Adornment of Critical Chance (Greater) on the cloak (right-click, use, click on cloak item).

I was prompted to choose the slot to overwrite - but it only has one white adornment slot on the cloak.

The over-write works fine after you select the slot from the item examine window, but the text of the message doesn't make any sense in this case.

And unless I'm misunderstanding something, there's no need for a pop up box (to have to click away) and the extra step of selecting the slot, when there's really only one place it could go.

You get the message when there's no free slot. If all are occupied you have to confirm the slot by clicking on it.

Yes that's what's triggering this extra step, but it's not appropriate. The text says "could be applied to more than 1 add-on slot" - wrong, it can't. There is only 1 slot on that item, end of story.

The text could be optimized. If you have two or more slots it makes more sense.

It could say: Please choose an adornment slot on "Snowfang Mystic's Cloak" to apply the adornment "Ethereal Adornment of Critical Chance (Greater)" to. Some items can accept more than one adornment of the same color (type).

Adding a wrinkle to this thread... Logged on Warden this AM ( 26 May, Thur ) . Got message that "Smoldering Viral Binding Stone ( level 70 white adorn ) has been removed from Imbued Incarnadine Scepter and placed in overflow slot"" Okay, tried putting it back on scepter and " No longer equipable"

What the heck ?

Yes, my old type adornment popped off my myth when I just logged her onto copy to check something. This is a change that went in last night as I was using her before the update to help test BGs. Luckily mine let me slap it back onto the weapon again.
