Betrayal: Necro to Conjuror

I love Conjurors.. but I would like 2 things.. one, a change of race (Ratonga!) and also I've never done the betrayal quest line before so I thought it would be neat to do something new.

Anyone who has done this betrayal before.. could you shed any light on it? Any tips or things you wish you knew before you got started? Thanks!

edited to add - I would be making an ALT to do this SMILEY

One useful piece of info is that you lose all your spell upgrades when you betray - all the new conji spells will be apprentice (anything shared between the two classes will remain as it was). Everyone knows this. What not everyone knows is that if you betray back to necro, whatever spell upgrades your necro had come back.
