![]() OMG great job on these. The Ancient cyclopse one was omg lol. I remember all of that. I tried most all of em. They are all super easy with a friend so people who duo should have zero issues (unless they are not decent players) =(. Thanks for a great event!!! |

![]() Hehe, yeah, loved the camp check at the beginning of that one, and all the NPC whining when you tried to steal their camp. Soooooo brings me back to my EQ1 days.

When you have a 90 char it might be - with a lower level char most of the instances are not available for you which kinda sucks. Why not chrono one up as well to enter? And they are actually super hard for lower chars. That Minotaur could not be killed with 2 ppl yesterday without healing. So you need to get groups first. It might not be a problem if you are chrono'ed down from 90 but as a lower level char it is. |

I thought I'd try one with my coercer, she's 39. Couldn't charm the mobs. Deadsauce. It's a limited world event, it should be open for all levels and do-able. It's a great event, I had great fun on my 90's. Open it up for all SoE! Please... |

![]() I honestly think this event is a slap in the face to max level characters who spend alot of time doing DOV zones for lego/fabled gear. What person at SOE decided to make a soloable instance that drops fabled belts/weapons for level 90 toons? Im sorry but free PQ gear was bad enought now we have this aswell for the next week. |

![]() Those zones were a blast even though i didnt play EQ1 wait ... didn't i read a post a few weeks back complaining there were no instances you could take a trio or a duo through?

By your reasoning we should just throw progression out the window and let everyone find a full set of raid gear in there mail box when they logs in. Im sure your a non raider just by your comment. Another young liberal who feels they are entitled to get something for nothing because is not fair if they dont.. |

Its always the casuals who defend this type of thing because they do not invest the time in the game to earn items. Real easy to see who is a AFK PQer and a raider. |

A bit bitter are we? I don't even see your point tbh. The 'Limited' world event is just that. LIMITED. With one instance with gear usable for 90's. And you've looted numerous belts in the lagfest known as PQ's have you? Awesome never seen one drop tbh. And free PQ gear? Could only be 'free' if you did them afk or how are they different to doing an instance and getting a drop? |

True "Casuals" are barely aware of the gear opportunities, aren't likely the farm them like crazy (because, by definition, they have a casual playstyle), and would probably have significant troubles soloing the content even when they did hit it. It's a limited time event. Each portal zone is on an 18 hour lockout. Only a few pieces of the gear are really worth anything, and it's not likely to be top gear for very long anyway. This isn't a world-ending cataclysmic event that will destroy all progression in Velious. It's not like the gear is being handed out at log-in. You want it, then someone has to actually go and kill for it...and everyone (raiders, too) have the same opportunity to get it.

+1 I think the portals were a very fun break from faction grinds in DoV and that they were very well done. Great job to those devs who designed them! |

The humour in some of them was priceless, AC and Quillmane the most. It was a very nicely done event that definately gave a giggle to those of us who played the original. The only things I would have done different was move Quillmane to the bigger zone and have an instance of Antonica, even if it's only populated by the city gates, to see Fippy make his run and not just talk about it. Oh.. and I -love- the animation on the lizard |

![]() They were very enjoyable (particularly South Ro).. I can't wait to see more of them next year. I commend the Devs for putting these together and can't wait to see what they do next (Karnor's Castle would be a good one, some of the PoP mobs... perhaps have a pick-up raid forming (or wiping) at the Plane of Tactics zin when you enter to kill RZTW. There is so much I look back fondly on that I'd love to see re-created in the future. Ideally, I'd love to have the old graphics, though. To those complaining that the gear is Overpowered, I agree only somewhat.. The most important thing, though is that there is NO YELLOW ADORN SLOT.... |

I quite agree, this event was really made for toons in their 90's, and it was a tremendous disappointment. SOE need to learn that people don't need to get to lvl 90 to get disillusioned by the game, they can do that perfectly well in their mid-50's if they get excluded like this. And before t he web-trolls give me crap about grouping, why should I, when a lvl 90 can solo them all and have all the loot for themselves? In a group the only loot you are guaranteed to get is the coin, and how many unsizable plushies with ugly writing over their heads do you want in your home, or pointless books? |

There was content in this event for people of all level ranges. The gear in the lower level events was very good for the intended level range. Just because you couldn't get enjoy the content which was designed for the level 90s doesn't mean that there wasn't still content for you to enjoy. Not all events need to be designed as a one-size-fits all experience.

![]() To all of the people that had a hand in giving us this event, thank you!! Camping the AC was my favorite! The dialogue with the NPCs was classic. "My friend that is a large guild said..." Haha! The only thing I would have changed is instead of locking me out of the zone for 18 hours, just lock me out of the treasure. I had to turn down helping several people in the Guk portal because I was locked out of the zone. It would have been nice to be able to forgo all loot for the ability to help someone. |

If you have a toon that managed to solo those instances at their level or lower, I'd like to know what class it was. None of the toons I sent in are weak, they have abundant AA's and researched abilities, but none of them could successfully solo even the lowest instance. My highest is 53. |

You're a very nice person (I also really liked your sig line). Admitedly these instances were very easy in a group, indeed I did them one time in more of a mob than a group, as everyone was a fighter, and it was a *lot* of fun! I think I am rather miffed still at Velious also being aimed (apparently) entirely at 85+ players. Would it *really* have been so very bad if the flying mounts were obtainable at level 50? The level 90 people with nothing to do could have got them anyway, and the rest of us would not be thinking this game is not for us. It is damned un-American in my view. |

First off, though much of the content could be soloed by geared out characters with skilled players driving them, the content itself was designed as heroic - group based. That said, I know that every single zone was soloed at some time during this event by every single class. Some classes had an easier time than others, and many of the people I know who did so were in pretty good gear and/or had skilled players behind the characters, but it absolutely was possible. For those who had issues soloing, duoing or trioing was typically more than enough muscle for any of the zones. Again though: limited time content. It's not the core game. It's a fun one-off for a few days to celebrate the 12 year anniversary of Everquest.

Even though I loved the event as is, I still agree that world events like this should be aimed at everyone (including casual players with low-level characters that like to solo); however, the upside of this event being more difficult is that it included some very nice items for a change. It is what it is, so I'll just keep playing until the game isn't fun for me anymore. Look me up next year and I'll help you massacre some baddies. |
