We just plowed through the zone to until the mirror floor. We pulled the imp named, like all mobs in the room after the pull he went straight through the roof and died there. Then the mini imps launched a suprise attack from below and wiped our group before it was possible to target them. We went back to the room and there was no imp and the doors to the next named were blocked. We had to end our run. By the way, why does the imp spawn 2 mini imp encounters?

![]() I am looking into the Impish Trickster he shouldnt be spawning two groups. and if you do manage to wipe to them it should respawn not despawn. Hope to get this fixed asap. |

![]() Do the named encounters on the 4th floor really need to have as many hit points as they do? We're not having any trouble killing them, but the amount of hit points they have turns this into a time sink. Granted, we're not cranking out 200k dps but I didn't think that was the intended audience for this zone anyway. The same group has fun with Shadowed Corridors and Forgotten Pools but the hit points on the 4th floor Umbral Halls pretty much make us not want to do the zone anymore. Heads start hitting keyboards from falling asleep. |

![]() The only thing I have a problem with in UH is that the mirror (mirror, mirror) only updates for ONE person, so I have yet to be able to get my update in 4 runs, since someone else always needs it |

You could always go down, click the mirror after you get the mirror guy killed and get the update for the kill on the next runthrough. Unless that doesn't work anymore, that's how I got mine. ETA: Though don't get me wrong, all quests with limited update potential should be group updates in instances. |

![]() yeah - only way to get all group members the update was to have each person drop one at a time (everyone else waits in one of the side rooms) - click the mirror and die when the elevator goes up - rinse and repeat. |

Gninja, I'm not sure if you're the one in charge of the Hold of Rime zones, but there seems to be an issue with updating the Hallmark access quests if somebody who isn't on the quest picks up Bob's Essence in Pools, or places the Claw Tip in Ascent. As these both need to be done regardless of the quest, is there a way to trigger the update when the actual event takes place, instead of when somebody on the quest does it? Because right now, it's very easy to lose the only opportunity because an overzealous group member does something to advance the zone, but isn't themselves on the quest. |

![]() After running this zone more and more often, I've come to the conclusion that there's something about this zone that makes the entire zone awful. Generally, I've found that Darkness Rising is tons of fun, excepting sudden mummy offset (which happens nearly every run as someone randomly clicks it and wipes the group since the mummies are excessively powerful) and worse off, you ignore your own goal as the Amontehepna (HQ mummy boss) doesn't even drop appearance loot. Come on, the entire process for that page is arguably the most challenging, with "most aggravating" residing on the Bride's Scorn. The same appearance loot should drop from the wraith/spectre in the cage of fear, aka the "Why'd we skip him, why'd we kill him?!" boss. Depression/Misery/Doubt and Deception are fun and well balanced bosses otherwise. The Stewardship is probably the worst zone within all of TOFS, in both bugginess and irritating spawns. The hand spawns are still ridiculously overtuned, give zero real effective loot, and while they don't necessarily need to be anything more than a trap, it would go a long way to making them worth something or just tuning the high damage of the hands down. The armor boss is still a pretty brutal gear check compared to the rest of the tower, but you can see the armor pieces on the second incarnation (not the first) and now that people have the gear he's not all that bad of a boss. Vhal'serrar is aggravating as always, but strangely during one run, we managed to get him down to 1 HP (verdict) where he stayed until we figured out you had to kill the crystals. Was a little unintuitive, but all in all the changes to him (except the lack of group update) were pretty welcome. A Bride's Scorn is about as good as Darknes Rising, though one thing to add is about the High Priest encounter. First off, the Dowry seems bugged and if you killed the High Priest/Drizz the Dowry will spawn which you can loot, then again when you kill off each child/chorus on its own, likely ending up giving you something like half a dozen to more chests. It's also worth mentioning that I've killed the high priest a decent amount of times and it wasn't until the last time I killed him that I realized you could do something to entertain the children or you could conduct the chorus. I still have absolutely no idea what the purpose of any of those two things do, but the message popped up after the encounter ended which left us confused. The HQ page quest is also fairly obnoxious primarily due to the fact that 1) Head Usher is a quest boss and doesn't drop appearance loot (see also Fear Cage, Amontehepna) and 2) The drop rates on the drinks (second step of the quest) is ridiculously low. Oh, also please fix the mirrors so we can go back to Darkness Rising. Once you go to any other floors and only the Stewardship is active, you forever lose the ability to go back to the fourth floor without exiting/reentering or dying. This is bad as the shard chest is in floor four, Please fix. Please give people incentive to run through this zone and help others on their quests, Umbral Halls is -long- for a full quest run. It's very possible to slam through the zone in about a half hour, assuming you ignore every single extra quest/portion that generally only benefits one, maybe two group members and you don't wipe at all. It is not uncommon for a half hour run to turn into three hours as people run across multiple floors to complete quests or inavertedly cause wipes by mistake (hands/mummies). I've already found myself avoiding this zone completely, simply because of its timesink nature and because I've taken to calling it Cat Herding Halls. Thanks.

Really? We must be doing something wrong then. For Depression/Misery/Doubt, we mez them and kill them one at a time. Pretty much a tank and spank time sink. Deception is pretty much a tank and spank also. I wouldn't use the word fun though to describe them. Maybe we're taking the fun out by mezzing them. My only issue with them is they take a while to kill because they have so many hit points. I believe Depression, Misery, and Doubt have a little over 8 million hit points each. I guess though that once we get better gear our DPS will improve and they won't take as long. Quite a pain though that it takes so long while wearing the gear that is intended to be worn into this place. Once we get gear from the higher instances and have no reason to do this zone anymore, THEN we'll be able to kill them faster. |

![]() The amount of nerfing that was done to this zone is ridiculous. It is barely a challenge now, maybe in the future you need to make 3 different modes. Casual mode - Where they have an object to click that says "It's my loot, and I WANT IT NOW" as the default option. This way they don't have to kill the boss if they don't want to, then those that enjoy a challenge do not have to suffer boring zones. Gamer Mode - That isn't so easy that you just don't even want to do it period. Hard Mode - That requires everyone in the group to be on their toes and well geared. The high priest fight was fun at one time, until you took that wrecking ball of a nerf bat to it. in before hidden J.G. Wentworth message

![]() we had today no mirror after killing depression/misery/doubt to the 6th floor. please fix it, it was daily and we got lock timer without clearing the instance cause we were forced to leave the zone cause there was no mirror. and yes we tried the mirror at the entrance either, we had no option to move to the next floor. |

I'm guessing you meant "after killing deception"? Unless I'm confused, you kill depression/misery/doubt to unlock the room to deception. Kill deception and the mirror is SUPPOSED to appear. I've seen deception die and no mirror appear before and have heard of it happening to several others as well. |
