Hey Josh, I'm not sure what SOE's policies are but here is what I use to do for my web hosting company some years back. If an issue normally would take 5 hours, the client was told 10 hours, if an issue took 5 days, the client was told 10 days.
WHY: Murphy's Law was a big factor however when a customer sees "10 hours!" they immediately get mad, then "oh ok..." but when it comes up early, usually that appreciation for your hard work and having that customer look at you like you were some super-hero for beating your own deadline was always priceless.
Thats my suggestion to you guys. Keeping your customers on edge like this for a half of a day's worth of daylight/nightlight is unacceptable when some time-table could be given such as "it is not likely to be up in 12 hours" or "I wouldn't wait up tonight for it" etc... something to give those customers sitting here right now getting more and more steamed something to chill out on.
Actually, hours ago, someone called SOE Customer Service, and were told 24 to 48 hours...so yeah, we already got that info...

Yeah, this is a guildie of ours that we are in contact with.

I went to the interface site but didnt find anything recent

Only if I buy more character slots and start a new character...that I would not play once my server comes back up...

I do not see that as a wise investment of my money.

In case it hasn't been mentioned here, the 12 Days of Velious deals...today being Othmir Day in particular...will be extended for those who weren't able to take advantage of a particular deal. So I'm pretty sure Everfrost will get both the Othmir Day and the Guild XP Day on Wednesday, assuming all goes well and the team (who are into their 15th hour here today) get everything working. SMILEY

Don't forget that Thursday is Free Transfer Day, so if you feel really doomed by your choice of server, you can take advantage of that deal and find a new home. SMILEY

So far it appears only recipe windows are effected. But without being able to play i cannot confirm or deny this.

Thankfully some credit card companies allow for 60 days to cancel a payment if the product is not delivered, or falsly advertised, so long as you no longer have it, which in the digital world is simply deleting the digital download.

For anyone that still can't understand why people would be miffed about this kind of a delay...picture this situation: You walk into a bank...you open a checking account. A few days later you deposit $54.98. They tell you the funds will post to your account by tomorrow. You should be able to use that money all month, without any charges, but you write a check a week later, and the check bounces. You call the bank, and ask them what happened, and they don't know, but they assure you that the problem is temporary and should be fixed soon. They inform you that you cannot have the $54.98 back, and cannot confirm that they will take care of the bounced check, or that you will receive any form of compensation for it. Would you still do business with that bank? With that being said, feel free to discuss how asking for compensation or a roll back is unreasonable. Or we can go back to talking about the Hamster and Trident Layers...

One of the 12 days of Velious deals is that you can ransfer for free. I think it is either Wednesday (today) or Thursday.

One of the 12 days of Velious deals is that you can ransfer for free. I think it is either Wednesday (today) or Thursday.
